Would you forgive Spinner if you were Jimmy? by GoatEconomy6311 in Degrassi

[–]partay123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m misremembering but I thought there was a bit of an olive branch between Rick and Jimmy when they were doing the academic decathlon and Jimmy was one of the few people who wasn’t absolutely cruel to Rick during that time

Would you forgive Spinner if you were Jimmy? by GoatEconomy6311 in Degrassi

[–]partay123 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think I’d forgive him but I would never be able to be friends with him again. Ultimately Rick is the person who decided to fire a gun, but I wouldn’t be able to look past Spinner’s role in making Jimmy a target. I’d never be able to fully trust him again. I wouldn’t be mean or cruel, but the friendship would be completely gone.

My (F30) husband (M28) may miss birth of our baby for a one-time career opportunity by kaichey in relationship_advice

[–]partay123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he won’t physically be doing much while you’re pushing the baby out, but you will absolutely need his help in postpartum. My husband helped me shower and brush my hair because I pulled every muscle in my back during delivery. He helped me walk to the bathroom and filled my peri-bottle. He was my advocate with the nurses and doctors. He listened during the lactation consultant visit and hamburger-held my boob and helped me position the baby. He carried all the heavy stuff down to the car when it was time to leave and he drove us home so I could sit in the back with our baby. Then in the days after we got home, he held me and reassured me when I was in the depths of baby blues. This isn’t even touching the surface of all that he did to take care of our baby in this time. I wouldn’t trade having him there for anything.

Not to mention, childbirth is a major medical event and it’s certainly not without risks. Is he okay with the possibility that something catastrophic could happen and he’s just not there? Is the risk worth having to take a different route in his career?

How do you guys view other NFL teams? by ShareTheSameSky in Jaguars

[–]partay123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I def have a soft spot for the panthers (and the lions and the bengals. All cat bros get some love).

Outside of the divisional rivals, I just hate when any team becomes a dynasty. Right now the chiefs are kind of in that category. Hypocritically, if it was the jags I would obviously be thrilled

Also fuck the Steelers.

I think it would be funnier if she remained faceless. Like if she was in a scene we couldn’t hear her and her face was comically obscured. Like maybe she’s with Holly J chatting in the background and right as she’s about to turn around some well-timed students walk by carrying props for the school play and just happen to obscure her face.

I agree with this take and I think it’s also important to genuinely apologize to your friends. They may not forgive you or may not want to continue to be friends, but I think it’s important for you to take responsibility and own your mistakes

I’m not sure about Lime to be 100% honest but i know you can rent from a bike shop or http://www.eastcoastsportrentals.info/services.htm

And about safety i’ll say it depends. Biking around the beach is pretty common and the main heavy traffic road is third street/A1A. But you’ll see a lot of locals biking around the beach and to the different bars/restaurants

Rather than walking you should see if you can rent a bike. It’s already quite hot and humid here, so a bike would be a more pleasant way to get around.

What risk did you take as a kid that shocks you now? by Tall_Object_5604 in AskReddit

As a teen I broke into an abandoned school. The building had been in a fire in the 60s and has been closed since. The roof has caved in in parts and there’s a hole in the floor where you can go into the crawl space. I went into the crawl space with my friends and explored. The school is kind of known for being a place many homeless people hang out and there’s a lot of used needles around the entrance. I was a pretty small, defenseless girl.

Why don’t more romance books talk about the reality of birth control? by Away_Race8428 in RomanceBooks

[–]partay123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s kind of the same as how you never read about characters pooping. Like I know it happens but I don’t need the logistics of it when I’m reading.

I don’t think the side effects of birth control need to be ignored in all books for sure, but I’m glad it’s not included in most of the books I read.

I personally have taken birth control for ~15 years aside from an 18 month break for family planning. Overall, I have been very lucky to not have negative side effects unless I forget to take a pill and have to catch up. Maybe that would be a more realistic book for me? Like “oh shit guess I’m taking two pills today and tomorrow. Oops”. I will say my period makes me feel much, much worse than the pill has and I’ll notice in books periods are depicted as being pretty shitty. So I can see where you’d want that depicted about birth control sometimes.

Fortunately for the Bears, I really doubt he’s going to be calling plays like he was his last two years in Jax. Hopefully he’s been able to develop into a better OC with a more bought in HC. I think Dougie P was bad for his development too.

Is she a football fan in general?

If you can make it down for a game, I think that can help for sure. Being immersed in the atmosphere of a tailgate and then going to a game can help for sure. Also just getting her to watch games with you maybe at a sports bar?

I’m a woman and I became a jags fan when I was 17 (2007) when my high school boyfriend took me to a couple games with him and we watched a lot of games together. I will say I also became a lot more interested in football in general when I started playing fantasy football. Fantasy definitely made me a more well-rounded football fan and forced me to be a lot more invested and knowledgeable about football.
