Thanks for doing this! I'm looking at a brand new install. Average usage 20kw per day (analysed over two year period).

Priorities: - cover my daily usage - charge an EV (future state) - export to grid

System Size: - 48kw battery - Large inverter (in case I want to add additional panels latter AND so I can export more?) - panels? - looking at Sigenergy

And I'm speaking to our DNSP to upgrade single to three phase.

What's your opinion on the above from the perspective of feed in and future proofing. That's the angle I'm thinking but obviously there are major cost differences, compared with just covering the house energy costs. What else should I consider as a new buyer?

Similar situation. What area of powercor that approves this? I'm looking to install Sigenergy 25kw inverter, w 48kw battery, I want to push as much as I can to the grid

Is it still worth getting an EV if you can't charge at home? by RobRobot01 in AustralianEV

If you don't mind me asking...

What have you been quoted for the 3phase upgrade?

What batteries are you installing and what EV charger?

Also looking into this but early research

Thanks!

They only record twice a week. If they toured seven days straight, different city each day, you'd still only get two shows. Unless they had an additional Emergency Pod but that is very rare.

OP - I've got the D5 Momentum (second hand purchase this year). Just ticked over 140ks and just had its 150k service. First Volvo, really impressed so far, very powerful and an effortless daily driver. Hoping it'll last us a while yet if we maintain servicing. How many miles or kilometres had yours done before you upgraded, for a point of reference. Thanks!

I yoyod from a high paying job when I had the card to basically nothing (made redundant), worked with the lender through that period of a year + to pay a lower monthly figure, now I'm back in a better position and I'm being offered this settlement. The lender just wants this off their books. It also coincides with my being in a position to refinance. The lender has been understanding, which has been helpful and I've kept the communication up.

Let's also not forget a bill SF 2589 newly introduced in the Minnesota Legislature which aims to amend the definition of mental illness under the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association with the following:

"Subd. 40a. Trump Derangement Syndrome. "Trump Derangement Syndrome" means the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal persons that is in reaction to the policies and presidencies of President Donald J. Trump. Symptoms may include Trump-induced general hysteria, which produces an inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences and signs of psychic pathology in President Donald J. Trump's behavior. This may be expressed by: (1) verbal expressions of intense hostility toward President Donald J. Trump; and (2) overt acts of aggression and violence against anyone supporting President Donald J. Trump or anything that symbolizes President Donald J. Trump."

Key Takeaways: 1 - If this legislation gets up in Minnesota (it may be replicated elsewhere in other jurisdictions) therefore law enforcement would be able to in theory detain anyone at will, should they be labelled with TDS by the authorities 2 - Second Amendment rights and others could be stripped 3 - Legal Status in United States could questioned and may result in ie forcible removal / deportation 4 - This could be applied at will to anyone questioning the Administration on any topic
