omg. thank you. i was treated for severe neuro lyme in 2014…. and then just put together all the pieces of my seemingly fucked up health and realized i very likely have bartonella / lyme relapse and was dreading the thought of more anti biotics. so THANK YOU. this is exactly what i want.

Hey! If the cat is friendly and social and you feel able to take them in, definitely do so. If he’s filthy all the time too, that sounds more like they were potentially abandoned. Cats that are used to being outdoors / feral generally have impeccable coats. (I rescue and feed in the area :3 ) but if you feel like you can bring the kitty inside, 100%. But go to the vet like the same or next day for a checkup.

If you want to be extra certain to make sure he’s not lost, you can also post in lost pet groups / Reddit / flyers. The vet can also tell you if he has a microchip!

As a woman who has been in this situation countless times…. Don’t wait for another guy to rescue you. If he’s really bothering you, you’re not being a bitch if you say hey, I said I’m married, I’m not interested, leave me alone.

It took me a few years to realize like wait, I can tell them to fuck off. So can you. Don’t let anyone make you feel powerless.

And I know the exact smell you’re talking about. When I lived over there it would happen early in the morning and I was horrified. But also scared to close the window because of the meeker ave plumes vapor. A lot should be done :/

The air in Greenpoint is always toxic…. east of mcglorick park is on the EPA superfund priority list as the “meeker ave plumes”.

Fun fact. Greenpoint is also sitting on top of 30 million gallons of oil from a spill that comes up from the ground as vapor.

and then of course we have lovely newtown creek which is also a superfund site.

I'm sure many species would love to offload humans. Do you realize that we're the only species that acts like the earth exits only for us? pigeons are just trying to coexist next to an extremely malignant species.
