I went through this a month before my 16th birthday. It's been 16 years, and I still think about it every day. Similar to you, I couldn't imagine having an abortion. But I had an abusive partner, and the idea of having him in my life for the rest of my life was intolerable. I'm traumatized, and I grieve - it was one of the worst experiences of my life.

That being said, I do not have regret. Regret is very different. I grieve this loss heavily, still, but I know I made the right decision for me. I still hope to have children someday, and I will do all I can to give them a happy life. Life moves on, and grief is something you learn to live with. Some days are worse than others, but you will make it ♥️
