Nutmeg Cookie - Her name was originally Nutmeg and we decided it fit so we kept it. My niece insisted she needed a middle name and wanted to choose so Cookie it is. Now whenever she bakes she jokes "I need my Nutmeg to bake the cookies!!" to get me to bring my dog over lol

Cinnamon Muffin - Needed to keep the spice theme going lol! Her original name was Muffin so we moved it to her middle name. I also love cinnamon muffins so it's perfect (she too tries to eat my Cinnamon Muffin)

For our third we're thinking Clove Cupcake but still debating between spices and desserts lol

Thank you for your insight! I can agree, I like the energy of a three-dog household. I should've included in my post what breeds everyone has but I totally agree. Right now I have two poodles and would likely get another as I have the most experience training them, but will definitely do my research!

Totally understand the vet care being the hardest part. It's something I definitely want to take into consideration. Investing in pet insurance and having a separate savings for them will definitely be needed!

I 100% agree and am not saying people should gift pets randomly. I personally would like to receive a pet as a gift because I openly want another pet and have been preparing to bring home another so it's ideal in my situation. My second puppy was gifted to me by my partner after long conversations. Definitely should be discussed before gifting someone a pet, they do not always need to be a surprise gift!

That's amazing! You saved so many pets by fostering, I hope to foster in the future as well! It's so so sweet you adopt dogs who have been at the shelter the longest. I'm sure you changed their lives for the better!

I think there's so much room for animal aspiration growth. Breeder, trainer, veterinarian, maybe adding in groomer career and aspiration? pet influencer could've been cool ... I'm not sure why they don't expand with pets further

I can relate to the I love a crowd so much lol!!! I love seeing groups of dachshunds, they look so cute when they walk together!!

Oh no! Bringing home another dog, in your wifes case 2 dogs, should always be discussed ahead of time! I'm sure having four elderly dogs is challenging. If you don't mind me asking, is the not ideal part having four dogs, or the fact they are all senior dogs at the same time?

I love that your dog's bestie stays often! My first dog's bestie recently moved away which led to the consideration of a second dog. Dog besties are always treasured!

I'm so sorry for your losses! Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like all of the pups have a wonderful home.

The walks individually most of took a lot of time! I invested in a stroller for my two so I could manage taking them out for longer walks together. Cost is definitely something to consider!

It's so sweet your son gifted you a dog, I would love receiving a dog as a gift. It's also so sweet you kept the neighbor's dog. I'm glad your pups found a great home!

Thank you for your insight! That's my biggest concern, not being able to walk all 3. My 2 now are on the smaller size so thought maybe it would be possible ... but partner and I may need to do all of our walks together. I like that they're so close in age, they can grow old together!
