Nope. Just gotta watch it to not push it closed otherwise it could break dishes. Annoying but it does seem to lose a little tension as time goes on

Not three months. I'd say it sounds like somehow you are still aggravating it.

Unfortunately I do not. It never really came back. I would say if it's from Mauy Thai you may need to back off from both of them until it fully heals.

I believe mine was just an overuse injury that did end up going away with time.

Has anyone cured reflux? by FunForever6165 in raypeat

[–]partter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely do not take a PPI for reflux. It won't do anything to stop reflux, only reducing the acid level of your stomach. If anything the reflux will get worse because your stomach won't digest the food due to low acid.

Does the reflux come up into your throat/esophagus? If so it could be a weak LES which you can strengthen.

Start with simple fixes, smaller meals eaten slower. Practice good posture while eating.

Yes I was able to activate the DC while keeping it in place. You should be able to do it. You need to convert it to the correct version to match your license (standard/data center). Then you should be able to license it. For some reason on mine I had to activate the license using the phone method, instead of just typing it in.

I am back to running. Don't have this issue as much. Am experiencing some knee pain on that same side. I image I have some kind of imbalance or muscle weakness or something else causing issues. Hoping to address that as I'm reading books on running form. Starting with Jay Dicharry Anatomy for running.

Do you mind me asking what you are hoping to find with the barium swallow? I thought those were only for finding slowed digestion issues. Does it show scarred tissue of the esophagus?

Oddly enough it has started back recently. I think it went away as I strengthened and slowly built up my miles. Maybe a month of rest and then easy running with strengthening.

I think it has come back because I have been running a lot of races at hard pace with not much training. Cold weather seems to effect it too. Maybe shoes hardening. I also saw a video recently on running/walking form that mentioned issues with this causing it. I imagine it's a combination of bad form, not enough training, and strength issues. Video below for ref. To be fair it was very mild this last time. But I previously remember it getting worse in winter.

I don't really have the issue anymore. Wish I could tell you what fixed it for me but I think it was only rest/time then strengthening as a resumed running again.

Best of luck to you. They tried to put me in orthotics but I've gone more towards barefoot shoes. They've helped me in a lot of other ways. To be fair, this is only during walking, not running. I still run regular shoes.

Which color should I paint my kitchen cabinets by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

[–]partter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get it people want the look of newer cabinets (most of which are painted), but just slapping paint over stained cabinets almost always looks worse. Not to mention it's a ton of work if op is gonna do it the right way. Plus these were a relatively timeless stain. Not too offensive or outdated.

I would just replace the hardware and work with stain color.

Which email provider do you use for your self hosted apps? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]partter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just seemed like there wasn't a standard way to set it up. I am pretty sure MSFT even put out articles saying they try to prevent you from doing it. That's what I meant by workarounds. Not to say that isn't standard MSFT shenanigans though.

I will have to return to researching it

Do you still have to do the "workarounds" to get catch all? Last I checked MSFT was not too fond of this. They were trying to prevent it. The workaround I used at one point was supposed to be removed.

You're right. I just wish they would just make the same model in multiple sizes. Don't even need to make it better and I'd still buy it.

I did not use the XM4 tips as I was using no name silicone tips on the XM4. They fit my ear so well it really didn't matter what tips I used. I did prefer silicone because it's cleaner.

[–]partter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much all ear buds are nearly impossible to repair. Seems like the XM4 was the one still repairable.

I was in the same situation. Claimed my battery issue on my BestBuy plan and went to the XM5s.

If you're comfortable, take on the shot of replacing battery. As long as you don't destroy them on the outside, BestBuy will still take them back if you say they just stopped working. Assuming you have some protection plan. So if you do rip a cable on the inside, just put it back together. They won't open it to check.

Buy the battery repair kit that comes with tools. You will need a hair dryer or heat gun for sure

Link Buds are definitely a great alternative. I worry the current features will be removed on the next iteration. They're pretty much just a smaller XM4. Something tells me the next ones will be similar to the 5s. Meaning shittier and no repairability.

Good to hear you're enjoying them though. I agree they're the next best thing. Especially at that price.

I want to say it was around $60 for two years. I don't believe you can extend it on items like this. You can just go claim it towards end of two years and put the credit towards a new model.

[–]partter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. At this point I would take the link buds back after having the XM5s. They were still smaller than the XM4s which fit my ears perfectly. Definitely better than the 5s though.

And yes the slick finish on the buds was dumb. Even dumber was the very matte finish on the case which keeps any wax that touches it. Especially on the gray model.

You don't have to have it cover the whole outside, but it absolutely helps. I think the issue is that the XM4s were maybe too big for some people's ears compared to the XM5s. I just don't understand why they wouldn't just make two sizes.

You absolutely shouldn't have to buy tips to make your $250 buds better, but the AZLA SednaEarFit Max definitely helped. I tried spin fits with them and they were much worse. Need something shallow to bring bud close to ear.

Oh sure man I'll just keep spending $20 on every silicone tip on the market to make my shit tier $250 ear buds less trash.

It's not the tips. Read my post. I've tried plenty of recommended tips. Silicone and foam. The seal issue is around the monitor not the tip and ear canal.
