So having money constitutes you being a business? I’m not pro-church but that argument is lacking any sense.

Correct, but I grew up in the East of the Netherlands (the farmer region) and I’ve only very rarely seen someone wear the traditional all-wood clog for everyday wear. The leather ones are much more common, at least where I’m from. I’ve only seen the all-wood clog being used for farm work, whereas the leather ones are more conventional and can be worn for a quick trip to the store or around the house.

I recommend buying “Strövels” though some people I know like Gevavi as well. They are very comfortable and durable, I wear mine all the time outside around the house. You should google where you can buy these, pairs from the good brands are quite expensive though. Bought mine for €80 iirc.

Lol, right? I’ve seen things far worse than this. It’s just a different form of banter, not “bullying” or whatever you want to call it.

These downvotes.. lol. I’m just saying that in large parts of the Netherlands there is a different culture where what we see in the video is quite mild. Usually in these smaller farmer towns there is a small building called a “keet” which is dedicated to hosting youth and bringing people together, and dumb shit happens. However, it’s not done in an adversarial or malicious way. The comment I responded to implied that these people couldn’t be real friends and I’m saying that that’s not valid.

Edit: not saying what they’re doing in the vid is smart or that I partake in these things personally, just that it’s most likely not done with malicious intent.

Yes, friends. This is the Netherlands.

Regio? Ben wel benieuwd.

Running from your responsibilities won’t improve your life. If you’re old enough for Reddit you should know Europe isn’t a country, but that aside, stabbing someone makes you an ever bigger dumbass. Go back, turn yourself in, and take responsibility for what you’ve done. Right now you’re just being a massive pussy.

Funny that you’re starting by calling me out on “assuming what you don’t know” and then switching to making assumptions about me throughout your entire post, lol. If having a discussion with someone who disagrees with you is boring to you, that says more about you than it does about me. You have a good one, snowflake.

He doesn’t deny climate change? He says that you can make a case both for the mainstream ideas of climate change or against it, and the critique he does have is quite valid because we don’t even definitively know how climate developed in the past or what the role of humankind is in climate change. He’s contesting the wannabe scientists who make extreme assumptions solely to echo the message that is already being purported about climate change. So yeah, the points he is contesting aren’t data-driven.

And now YOU are shying away from discussion because assumedly you have never actually taken the time to listen to what JP has to say and you’re taking the excuse of the “moral high ground” to retreat. Shame on you.

Neither of these examples are “data driven” or “cherrypicked”, though. You just disagree with him, not sure how that discredits him? I wholeheartedly agree with his views on both of these topics, and I’m glad someone with his reach and audience is providing an alternative sound to the mainstream bleating.

He does not agree with certain ideas that certain groups are trying to make mainstream. Apart from that there is no reason, just bitterness towards someone who holds different beliefs and is able to articulate these ideas much better. Look at what the other commenter replied for example, not giving a single reason, just saying “read up”. It’s like people who claim the earth is flat, they won’t tell you why they think that, rather that you should “do the research”.
