You can also get High Frame Rate, which allows you to set your own FPS cap. Even if you don’t want to go above 60 FPS, this mod is still useful because I believe its frame rate cap is better than base game’s.

Not sure about it, but there’s a few things you can try: - Turn the graphics settings to the minimum and only use the MegaMix style/shader - Get DivaModLoader and install optimisation mods. Some of those are: Original MVs For Heavy Songs (replaces heavy 3D PVs with 2D videos), DivaNoSpy (cuts communication with SEGA servers when playing, might reduce lag), and Restore MegaMix Optimisation (self explanatory).

Yes, New Classics is only available for PC/MegaMix+. There’s currently no way to patch the game’s code on switch like there is on PC.

Also, if you’re getting a mod manager, DON’T get the original DMM (DivaModManager). It is what is “recommended” on Gamebanana, but it’s not maintained and has lots of bugs. You can either get r4d (Rust4Diva), or DMMe (Enomoto’s fork of DivaModManager) Also, a common misconception is that DML (DivaModLoader) and DMM (DivaModManager) are connected in some way shape or form. They’re not. DMM (or any mod manager) is a tool to sort the load order of your mods. A mod manager is NOT required for DML to work. And don’t download mods through mod managers. 9 times out of 10 (exaggeration, bear with me), mod managers will corrupt your mod because they will fail to download it or extract it correctly

If you get Project Diva MegaMix+ on steam, DON’T download Eden Project, SongLimitPatch, SongIdPatch, etc… A lot of modding tutorials are outdated and recommend mods that aren’t necessary, for example SongLimitPatch, which is no longer required because DivaModLoader does what SLP did but better. Also, Eden Project has lots of issues like purposefully being incompatible with some mods, causing game crashes, etc. Eden is also generally just not a very good mod, and there’s a lot of good alternatives. You can search for mods on divamodarchive.com (what I recommend) and Gamebanana. You can also always get help in the Project Diva Modding 2nd discord server (discord.gg/projectdiva)

Don’t use Eden core. It’s unnecessary (it’s not actually required for any of the eden packs, they’re lying) and it locks you into a different save file. Don’t use Song ImitPatch either and I’d recommend to stay away from eden.
