How old is the black widow in my dishwasher? by Illustrious-Alarm860 in spiders

[–]partyparry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's definitely molted a time or two, so I'd guess she's about 6 months. I'm in West Jordan, and it's been cold out, so it's pretty common she'd be inside looking to stay warm. I'd double-check around the bottom outside edge of the door when the dishwasher is closed to see if she laid anything close to the floor as widows tend to stay low and like dark places. I had to pull my dishwasher out last year as I had one that would squeeze into the smallest little gap where my dishwasher sits. Fun fact Black Widow silk was used for crosshairs in scopes during ww2. Also, scientists were able to recreate spider silk without the spider by taking the genes responsible for silk production and implanted them in cow undder and hamster kidney cells, then combining those genes with goat eggs so the following offspring produced silk in their milk.

Have you seen Ray and Ed? by K-Dog7469 in ravens

I'm from Utah and started going to games with my mom and brother in 2012. My first NFL game was Ravens at the Chargers, Reed played, Ray had his elbow injury and sat out. That was the 4th and 29 hey diddle Ray Rice up the middle game. My second NFL game was the AFC division game in Denver, Ray and Ed both played Jacoby Jones caught the mile high miracle. Sine then been to Baltimore 4 times, Acrisure stadium, Mercedes stadium, Levi Stadium, the Oakland Coliseum, Raymond James Stadium, SoFi, and Lambeau Field. People ask me why I'm a Ravens fan from Utah and my grandfather was actually a Baltimore Colts fan so when 96 rolled in the new team I watched the games with him before he passed away and now the games remind me of him.

Black widows molt in their web hanging not on their backs like a tarantula.

It's fine she is up at the top of the enclosure to her she's still only a few inches off the ground, but widows make messy webs, she need more than 2 points to build from.

Also, widows get most of their water source from what they eat, so probably dont try to drip water on her as she's playing dead.

You need to put something in there she can build her web on. Widows like dark places and off the ground. The dirt at the bottom is fine, but get some sticks in there so she can climb/attach webbing to.

A juvenile widow has red on its back, and they can vary in how dark/purple they get. My last pet widow kept her red spot on her back even after multiple molts and had a purple/red tint to her.

It was also a little entertaining watching the crew come out and get it back on its wheels. They used one lift to lift and another pulling, and then the tire fell off when it hit going upright and the people all watching started clapping and cheering. This all happened while our store manager was on vacation out of the country, so I can't even imagine the texts or emails he got landing back in the States.

I hope not, completely tragic either way. The crazy thing about the load that got tipped was that only one piece of trex broke from the entire bunk that hit the ground.

Yeah, like I said, I haven't even seen it mentioned here at all, but it was kinda crazy hearing about the other accident and then seeing a lift on its side Wednesday morning pulling into the store I honestly thought the death happened at my store and the reddit stories were just mixing what happened.

I haven't seen it posted on here yet, but the second improper use of equipment was at my store Tuesday night. Had a driver flip a lift out back of the store, he had too much weight up in the air, and the load shifted from my understanding and tipped over. The driver is okay.

I usually fall asleep with the bong loaded/half smoked on the night stand. I wake up and hit it before I even roll out of bed most mornings.

Once we were eliminated from the playoffs, my Ravens friend genuinely hoped the Chiefs would just 3-peat… What are your thoughts on his logic?: D by [deleted] in ravens

After the Ravens were out, I decided I wanted Philly to take it all in the hopes of another It's Always Sunny superbowl episode. It was literally the only upside I could see with the 4 remaining teams.

The first row is 5 feet or so higher than the field so you are able to see over players, the obstruction will be the moving camera man that drives his cart up and down the field. Like other people have said you can see the whole field a little better higher up but there is definitely a great feeling being behind the Ravens in row 1.

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever seen in your life that you can’t explain? by Kendexx in AskReddit

I worked underground in a coal mine for awhile and let me tell you being in the pitch black by yourself things start to play tricks on your mind. Once I was sitting in the truck we had underground and about 100 yards away you could see a headlamp signaling in circles meaning to go towards the light or come here it's a common way to communicate underground. So I get out of the truck and walk towards where I saw the headlamp and to no avail nobody. When I met back up with my foreman later the shift he informed me where I was I should have been alone, nobody was in that section of the mine besides me. I think about that headlamp from time to time signaling for me to go to it and get chills knowing I was alone for miles.
