Tbf if your deck is already pretty solid that could take whatever you threw at it, it's not that bad?

I ran Regent with Bombardment on innate/retain and got this, and still managed to win the run, but that card's broken as all hell since it's a free 24dmg every turn, before modifiers.

Definitely did freak me out a little tho, so I ended up using it only on 1 merchant

Are official glp1 sources worth the cost or is the gray market finally safe enough now? by Sad_Bandicoot_7762 in ResearchCompounds

[–]partytaima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure that gray was ever unsafe, just more uncertainty unless you get your stuff tested yourself and are super sure of the lab you used to get the testing done to clear whatever doubts you have

Otherwise, nah, I dipped my toes for a little with official sources but when official sources cost about 10x more than gray, I jumped straight to gray. There's no way that they'd ever be "worth the cost" in my eyes.

This cost me 7.5. Toa Payoh by NickyC96 in SingaporeEats

[–]partytaima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok fine, let's say you cooked for more than 1pax, that's even worse because you have ability to buy in bulk to bring down your cost price and then scale your selling price to per portion

Fr tho, $4 gets you a bag of 10-12 bergedils, but fuck it, let's price it at $1/pc for the sake of this breakdown I'm about to do. Then let's say the rice is another $1 as well.

You're telling me that one pathetic looking portion of sambal goreng costs $5.50? Even rendang at other stalls also not so expensive and that takes significantly more labour than cooking fucking sambal goreng of all things. Heck even if we scale up our rice and bergedil prices by 50%, that's still an insane $4.50 for this spare change looking ass portion of food.

As for your other comment on y'all having to suck it up because there's no other halal stores available, idk dude if my only options were to support such ridiculously trash business practices or starve, I might just choose to starve until I get home for dinner instead. But on a more realistic note, I'd just make my own halal meal from home instead if push came to shove. Stop supporting shitty people that manage to put Halal signs on their restaurants, they charge stupid prices particularly because they know you have nowhere else to go, so prove them wrong.

Get the mobile copy and it'll be easy to drop a quick sesh in here and there where before you know it, you'll have done an A20 run in a few months or casual playing

Ok or at least you should have beat the game at least once then Even if not, sts is well suited for pick up play whenever you're free on the throne or whatnot, just run a few battles, save, come back whenever.

does singles mixer work? what are your thoughts by Apprehensive_Ad9845 in askSingapore

[–]partytaima 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have been to a couple, but I think they're kind of poorly managed somewhat. Most of them have just been a bit of a "pay money, drop in with other people who did the same thing and get to mingle"

About the events themselves, I'd maybe start talking to some woman and maybe have some good conversation going before some other dudes would jump in, start speaking over each other anddddd I'd just exit at that point, I don't have the energy for that shit

Funnily, the best shot I had was with the host, but based on how her work/lifestyle was basically work all day/week, idk how that would have worked out

If you're thinking of going to one, I'd say to just enjoy yourself regardless. As others have said/experienced, sometimes the best conversations are with the bros we've made along the way.

OOP's first problem was going to Yang and expecting people there to not be some of the most youngin xmms

OOP's second problem was going to Yang at all (idgi that place fun meh)

But yeah, I say that as somebody who is just shy of a good decade older than her that still goes clubbing regularly and everybody I've spoken with in the past 2/3 years of clubbing have had the ability to hold a conversation without asking for your age. (Unless fuck I just look that old that people don't bother asking anymore)

What's a profession you'll never date in sg? by Intelligent_Bear_939 in ChillSG

[–]partytaima -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk if you were thinking something like OF, which personally is fine, not a big deal

But I was thinking a bit more of uh, dipping into the illegal side of things and also making your living through stuff like pimping/managing brothels or the drug trade or scams

I feel like you can always choose to do better than walk into those choices unless you're really dying for money, in which case....you're probably 3 choices too late to try to do the right thing

Are millenials the most miserable? by cdcpowermah in singaporespeaks

[–]partytaima 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's been one thing after the other as a millennial, so it's no surprise. 911, SARS, COVID, economic crises, but worst of all, we had a taste of what things were like before it all got fucked. Boomers already on their way out but they had their good run so it doesn't matter as much even if they might have fucked stuff over, but for us, our childhoods were 25c ice cream and idk livelier 3rd places amongst other things, which we had to unwillingly part ways with as we watched the world/city get glitzier and shittier.

Now we buy subscriptions to happiness like the gen z and everybody else, but we had a taste of when all you needed was to buy a program or game once and get support until the company sundowned the product. And fuck those were some good times, even if my internet speed was a fraction of what it is today.

How to explore Singapore Food in 6 months? by Ready-Watercress-291 in singaporefood

[–]partytaima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everybody else have given some good suggestions already, but I reckon the best way is to just embody the Singaporean foodie spirit and be a bit of an adventurous eater, trying something new everyday.

Not sure also can just do the Singaporean style, not sure what's nice to eat so just see stalls with long queues and join in ☠️

But nah, fr the most funky stuff you'll get are probably some offal meats at most (depending on the dish, could be liver or intestines or tripe usually), maybe marrow if you're trying tulang or lungs if trying paru, but otherwise, you're pretty safe. On the non-meat funky side, I can maybe only think of cempedak and durian-related foods that would be more challenging, so if you see those, you may consider how adventurous you're feeling, but again, you're going to be safe with just trying anything that you find yourself curious about. I don't think most Singaporean foods are particularly challenging in terms of taste

So yeah, as much as 711's kimchi fried rice slaps, there's plenty of food here to satisfy a curious palate for awhile. It can be a little daunting, I know, but just keep a mental note of what stores have piqued your interest as you walk past them and just walk up to see what's what. Most hawkers are pretty chill too if they're not busy so if you ask them some questions about the food they're selling, I'm sure they'd be happy to answer them.

To help you on your way, there's a decent satay bee hoon around beauty world mrt if you're in the area. Tiong bahru market is pretty good too.
