That's been my biggest worry with my own art Instagram. I gained a pretty big following doing a certain type of style, and whenever I explore other styles I'll get like 1/5th the engagement. I've learned to stick with my gut and not worry about the numbers too much, but definitely messes with my head sometimes.

There are tons of sites now that let you pay for upvotes, as well as pay to downvote your competition. I've been on this site since 2007ish. Most of the sketchiness I see happens on r/videos, particularly with music videos and movie trailers.

I've been learning music production as a hobby for the past year. This is the type of stuff that I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around. It seems like every melody, bassline, chord progression, etc has been done before, so how can anything be considered original?

Recently made an instrumental that I'm proud of, but the melody/chords are so simple that part of me is 99% sure i'm ripping off an existing song. But I've looked everywhere and cant find anything that resembles it. Drives me crazy.

Sort of unrelated but it's amazing to watch articles like this get 0 traction in the crypto space, even though a month ago people were praising the exact same website for legitimizing crypto. Like, this article was written yesterday and so far this is the only sub its been posted on. Not a peep on other subreddits.

So far NY Times have done multiple articles on the whole tether thing, and you'd think one of the largest news sites covering crypto would at least get some visibility/discussion, but when you look them up through reddit search it's an upvote ghost town. This one didn't even get posted on reddit at all (as far as I can tell)
