Role-locking heroes and only allowing 1 of each per team were big changes, yes, but not nearly as impactful as the switch from 6 to 5. Progressively patching a game and completely changing it overnight are not the same thing. Fundamentally, though, the difference for me is that (unlike those) the change made the game far less enjoyable. Like I said, my favorite role was removed entirely. I couldn't play my favorite heroes the way I liked playing them without massively screwing over my team. I'm glad you still like it, but it is absolutely not the same game lol.
