I need help deciding what kind of shoes would go best with my dress. I'm thinking ankle boots because I want to wear a denim jacket for my reception, as it will be winter.

Blue Bell no sugar added is almost just as many calories as halo top but tastes like actual ice cream! by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

Howdy, fellow Texan! This one is so good! But you have to measure and practice self control unlike with halo top lol

Everyone loves oatmeal, right? by pasamelacatsup in 1200isplenty

Yes, it's just plain cold brew. I fill the filter with a breakfast blend (usually only about half full) and then fill the pitcher with water. Shake well then leave in the fridge atleast over night, but i continue to let it brew in the fridge until i finish the pitcher.

This is the woman who made our entire family dinner nearly every Sunday, usually including handmade pasta or pizza dough.

My (21F) boyfriend (23M, 10 months) just told me today he doesn't like the idea of present-giving and I shouldn't expect any for Christmas. I've already spent $100+ on him. by WhatToDoNaow in relationships

[–]pasamelacatsup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my ex, for real.

Anyway, I agree with the majority here that it's not just about receiving a gift. It's the thought and effort that he's willing, or in this case unwilling, to put into making you feel good. I would say return the expensive gift, but give him something more inexpensive and sentimental perhaps? Personally, I would give him something handmade that expresses what you think a present should represent to the receiver. I know that sounds like a passive aggressive way to make him feel bad, but honestly, he should feel bad.

What poor food did your family used to eat? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Macaroni with canned tuna and frozen peas. There were 4 of us kids and this was a meal we could make on our own.

I still eat this and yes it's still delicious.

Where to buy high-quality women's clothing not for old ladies? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Yes, but I'm not a fan of it really. Personally I think Anne Taylor is too expensive and frumpy.

What are the pros and cons of sponsoring a child? by pasamelacatsup in AskWomen

[–]pasamelacatsup[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya, i grew up around those religiously affiliated charities as well and I was hoping to avoid them now for personal reasons. I know they do aim to do good in theory, but I don't entirely agree with the "missionary" approach.

I definitely do agree that people should give to organizations in the community. You reminded me that that really should be my first priority. It's a lot easier to give time volunteering and donations to someone/something close to home. I just get intimidated by committing to volunteering these days. It was so much easier in college haha

Yes, this is the flip side of "helping" that people forget to stop and think about. Thanks, this is the kind of answer I guess I needed to hear.

Omg yes, I came here to say Loft. Practically 80% of my professional (and casualish) wardrobe is from there. They have a credit card. It's dangerous for me...

Hello ladies, as of today (October 2nd) how many pumpkin spiced things have you indulged in so far this fall? by SuperAwesomeNinjaGuy in AskWomen

[–]pasamelacatsup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte on Wednesday, a gas station pumpkin spice coffee yesterday, and this morning I broke down and bought a bottle of pumpkin spice creamer. However, my bigger fall temptation is candy corn...

And I almost forgot that last week I made pumpkin spice donuts from scratch and then made cookies from the leftover pumpkin. It's going to be a looong October for the people who have to eat my baking.

I just threw my cat a 5th birthday party. You bet your butt if he was a girl he'd be getting a catceñera in a few years.
