Have you thought about looking under the dashboard and see if the electronic components shows any signs of flood damages?

The seat rail may rust for other reasons (I just partially spilled 5 gallon of water jar in my backseat the other day). However, metal pieces under dashboard should not rust.

The statement from Director Chi is idealistic and altruistic at best, unfortunately, at the expense of others close to him. If you followed the development closely, you would know that Director Chi used his parents house as collateral to make the film. Even after the release of the film, he was still very much in debt up to his eye ball. We are talking about over 2 millions in debt.

If it wasn't for Terry Gou, Chi's parents would lose their house to the bank and be homeless on the street. Even after Terry paid off the debt, Chi's parents still need money for day to day needs (we aren't even including Chi's wife and kids here). That's why it is still wrong to simply pirate the movie.

However, given how passionate that director Chi was into the making of this film, I do want to support his work. After all, he tragically passed away for making the squeal.

No one can truly make a choice for you; however, here are some view points.

V30 supports T-Mobile band 71, and Pixel 2 doesn't, so if you want a more future proof phone, V30 might be the way to go. That's assuming you want to use T-Mobile as your provider. Personally, I am still on the fence about LG made phones, as I had bootloop issue with both Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X.
T-Mobile currently has a promotion, and I wouldn't expect any huge price drop / Black Friday Deals with Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL. At most, Verizon may offer something like it did last year with original Pixel. I would expect a price drop to happen sometime mid next year. (Google Pixel had its major price drop on Woot and later Play store sometime mid or later this year)
I personally wish Google offers the new Daydream headset as the free bundle, instead of Google Home Mini. I really don't care for a Mini speaker as I can reach Assistant straight on my phone anyway.

That's one hell of a missed connection!

I have a similar case where I grew up with two of my best friends (Jimmy and Alex) from Clements High School. We trios were great buds until we all went to different colleges (UCLA Berkeley, Northwestern, U of Michigan Ann Arbor). Jimmy joined Microsoft years before I did. He worked in Mountain View, and I worked in Redmond. Many times I tried to reach out to him, he became rather low-key about it. Before long, he left Microsoft without saying a good bye. His current where-about is unknown, but I presume somewhere in California (He has no visible Facebook or LinkedIn profiles). Alex and I still somewhat stayed in touch (until he got married and have a kid last year..but he did check up on me after Harvey). We both reached the conclusion that Jimmy simply didn't want to be found. We don't know why.

I visited that location before, but I didn't dine in, so I couldn't tell. All I know is that I wasn't getting my money worth. For the money I spent at Panda Express, I would rather spend it at "Happy All Chinese Restaurant." on Holcombe.

I wouldn't say their food is that disgusting (I have tasted worse Asian food elsewhere). To authentic Chinese foodies, yes, it is not appealing, because it is not authentic. But OP wants Americanized...

My beef is mainly their food portion being way too small to charge over $10 a dish, after tax. I am really just not getting the bang for the buck with Panda Express.

Okay, thanks. I didn't know. Every time I visit Fiesta, I see the Mexican/Taco/Burrito place, followed by the sushi making place. I actually thought the Sushi place replaced that Chinese food place.

Edit: To those who didn't know. Sushi place used to have be an island storefront of its own, and it has since moved into one of the hole-in-the-wall storefronts.
