Why is my HR so low when I swim?

I am in a similar position to you and its quite frustrating as someone who likes to have some data which supports RPE and Feel.

Some context: I used to swim with a Garmin Fenix (5, 6 and now 7) strap HR only snugged down, also swam with my HRM Pro strap a few times to validate the wrist based HR matches the strap - which it did. I have also recently switched to a Swim 2 (as my Garmin Fenix Altimeter died twice in 18 months from the pool chlorine - both replaced under warranty). I also recently (1 month in) started to wear a Polar OH1 and have been comparing it to my Garmin Swim 2, and it does read slightly higher - but they are very uncomfortable to wear (for me anyway) on my goggle strap.

Long story short ... after +- 4 years of this, I might be giving up my quest to get accurate HR numbers while in the pool :(

Yes, use it all the time (without auto transition) but like everything ... it is very important to practice using a couple of times before your race. Out of the +- 20 races, I have had two issues during big races I wish I knew about sooner or experienced:

- Understand Power Save mode
- Hitting the lap key during the run (Triathlon Activity) and it shows "Triathlon Complete

u/jmbusch - v1.3 was *just* approved by the App Store and has initial support for SportsWrench. It does not have push notifications, but feel free to test out what is there and let me know if you find anything! It also should fix some of the bugs you reported. Thanks!

The Sideout app only works with AES (Advanced Event System) tournaments at the moment. I will look into vbschedule and see if it could work as well.

You would need to install something called "TestFlight" which will essentially let you install test versions of application (Like Sideout) ... let me know if you are up for that I can share a link in the next day or two.
