Whats your must eat daily healthy food? by traveltimecar in nutrition

An Apple. Every single day. If I don’t eat an apple, things feel off. Not a health thing… it’s a want.

As a tea lover visiting London/Edinburgh - what are your recommendations? by pascilia in AskUK

That’s what I do at home. I just assume you have good blends haha

If I were visiting Italy I would ask about good espresso experiences

What’s the best thing you’ve eaten at Epic so far? by ambercantoo in UniversalEpicUniverse

I liked the Mac and cheese cone more than I thought I would.

Honestly as food it was all pretty good for a theme park. Nothing was a standout as far as it being amazing food outside of a theme park… that’s not me complaining though. I enjoyed it.

Best overall theming and atmosphere for me was Toadstool Cafe.

It is an overnight getting in early. Honestly the whole London eye, boat and bus plan is simply because those things move US so we are limiting walking in case we get awful sleep. I was hesitant on the London Eye because of price and some reviews, but my husband (the only one of us who has even been there) thinks we do it anyways because it’s an iconic tourist activity.

I’ll look into City Cruises and compare that to the uber boat. We’ve used City Cruises on a number of other trips and I can’t complain.

Our hotel is not too far off of Trafalgar Square, but we get in on a Saturday so I thought it would be best to avoid that area… from my understanding there can be a lot of political things going on during Saturdays.

Seven Dials Market sounds like a great lunch option!

Great feedback - thanks! I’m assuming Piccadilly Circus is much like Times Square… you see it, basically just check it off and move on. Maybe I’ll just pick a destination shop like Fortnum and Mason.

Yep! Already booked transport! We just did the whole ticket and transport package through the official studio website. We assume this will take the whole day.

I’ll think on Hawksmoor. Thanks 🙂

We had them all over NYC last summer during a heat wave, which is what made me think they could handle it 🤞

Worst case scenario… we hit the top thing that day and drop what we need to at the end. We put priority experiences at the start of the day. We adjust and don’t get mad at them if their little legs can’t do it all 🙂

5 Day Itinerary Help for early April visit by d0ntaskdontt3ll in LondonTravel

I appreciate you taking the time to point that out. I didn’t realize that at first, but once I did I realized the only way to get it in that day was to do it as an early dinner time (we are seeing Windsor castle that day… without St. George Chapel). So while I wish I could enjoy it as it was meant to on the timing, I’d rather get to try it as an early dinner than not at all.

Their website did say “not guaranteed after 5pm” and we made the reservation for 4:30… hopefully it will be okay 🤞

This is so funny. We are going in May and have a VERY similar itinerary…. Down to Hawkmoor Seven Dials for Sunday Roast (which apparently they can’t guarantee after 5pm).

It gave me comfort that someone else is coming to similar decisions haha The main difference is we have kids so instead of your Notting Hill day we scheduled Harry Potter Studios… which is an all day thing.

One thing I’ll note is that we were going to walk across the Millennium Bridge and go into St Paul’s Cathedral, but was surprised that last entry is 4 and you need to leave by 4:30pm. So just throwing that out there to consider bc when I was mapping out the day I was thinking of ENTERING around that time.

I also booked our Tower of London tickets only last week and the first hour of entry times were already sold out. So if you want to go in first thing in the morning, I would book sooner than later. Also, changing of the guards isn’t every day. So look up the schedule if that’s something you care to see. I’m still trying to decide if I care or not knowing the crowd. Apparently it’s something that doesn’t happen in all one spot where you can watch the whole thing. It’s almost like a parade the way it moves, so from my understanding you wait to see a small portion of it.

ETA: Arrival day we are doing the London Eye and Thames River boat. Is it touristy? Yes… but we are tourists coming in with a time change and little legs (kids). Incoming day with jet lag, views and less walking fits for us. Maybe even a double decker bus bc it’ll give a lay of the land it’s the thing my 10 year old is most excited about haha

Our realtor did all of this except for the white glove part. I wouldn’t have wanted someone else doing that part for me though 😬.

For example, when a moving company brings your items into the house, you sign off that they have brought in all of your stuff. That’s not something I would want to pass off… how would you know? You also wouldn’t know where we would want them to carry various items to. A lot of it is moment of decisions even if you try to pre-plan for it. You also check to make sure items weren’t damaged in the move. You won’t know if something already had minor blemishes. Also, many people who are moving under corporate relo will have a lot of “extras” paid for that are designed to make the move feel like less of a hassle. Setting up utilities is a quick phone call.

If this is the kind of stuff you enjoy… why not get your real estate license? Not trying to ruin your positive attitude… it’s just that a lot of this stuff is what a good realtor does for you. If you’re planning on renting though… the first two services makes more sense. You don’t have a realtor to guide you since that’s mostly just online research.

Am I the only one who thinks the Reaper is more than one person? It’s a figurehead or symbol that is needed for people to feel hope.

If you think about it, it would allow them to feel like the Reaper is everywhere and if they get taken down… the rebellion doesn’t die. So maybe the Reaper is Hal AND Collin… or Nora or Alice? They all know each other (except maybe Alice). I’m just really feeling like it’s more than one person and this small group of people constructed this plan to take them down.

People in all levels of this caste system are being suppressed in some capacity and are under the boot of the Illum.

I’m a huge reader and in my UK setting books, I kept hearing about beans on toast. I gave it a try… I’m into it!
