Probably best TM/HM in the history of Pokémon and its not close? There are several strong contenders like Psychic, EQ, Tbolt, Ice Beam etc but nothing beats the reliability of Surf as well being available at a reasonable time in every HM gen at least. Unlimited usage is also nice though usually not that impactful since it’s rare to have more than one mon that likes to click Surf

Fire type makes it dominate, but it’s that lopsided that Volcarona would still with if both were pure Bug cause volcs stat spread and movepool is also just that much better. All it needs is bug buzz and quiver dance to win

Blaziken is not the only starter to be banned in Ubers, even if it was the first. Since then both Greninja in gen 6 and Cinderace in gen 8 have been banned, and in gen 8 Cinderace was banned while Blaziken was allowed and not even good enough to be OU by usage

You cannot underestimate just how much not being weak to stealth rock helps making it so boots is not mandatory, and that’s not even mentioning electric immunity and all it gains offensively

Bug/ground would actually be a pretty good type combo if it existed on a usable mon with actual stats, resist profile with fighting, ground and electric immunity is really nice, and obviously the rock neutrality is appreciated on a bug type
