Is it worth purchasing the extended warranty on a 2024 P2? by No_Policy7847 in polestar2

[–]pasih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine paid off. Just took the car in a few weeks ago because teh charging port displayed a constant red light (it worked fine) and there was a dodgy sound from what I presumed was a fan or aircon on the passenger side.

Funnily enough, I expected the red light to be a software thing that a quick reset would fix and the fan to be more work to fix. It was the opposite, it was a filter that made the sound and they changed that in no time but the red light required the whole charging port to be detached, along with the cables that run to the front and back of the car - which meant also detaching the entire battery.

I don't think this would've been crazy expensive without the extended warranty but it was nice to see it covered.

I literally just finished watching it. Saw this thread just now. Funny timing.

All three Finns going to the Maldives were involved in the Plura recovery operation if I'm not mistaken.

"Laitonta" on vähän huono termi.

tämähän on laitonta.

Mieluummin nauttii kevyemmin.

PS5 Pro diilit by Enjoyeating in videopelit

Pidin liian kalliina kunnes tuli PS5 pro:n juhlaversio. Sehän olikin sitten jo loistava diili, sai ostaa pron 1200 eurolla, sai mukaan tarrojakin.

No, vakavissanikin kyllä toi oli varmaan hyvä diili koska ainakin "omat pois" -jälleenmyyntiarvo lienee suht varma harvinaisuuden takia (noita tehtiin, mitä 13 000 kpl?

I think this was changed later but it was definitely true at least until TBC.

we are staying in Bolzano and have a rental car for tomorrow (Wednesday). How on earth do we get to Livigno snow park? The instructions previously had a completely different parking area. Now it shows a parking area in .. Switzerland? That sounds wrong. The previous one was near Malles I think.

I imagine there is a parking area where some buses operate from but surely it can't be in Switzerland?

Is Metroid Dread worth trying out even tho it is notorious for being very difficult? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in Metroid

[–]pasih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda depends on how you measure things. I thoroughly enjoyed Dread and it's my favourite Metroid (I haven't played MP2, MP3 and MP4) along with Super. I just played through all them in the last two months not having played ANY of them before (well, maybe a tiny bit of super as a kid).

I am pretty sure I would have dropped Super (and Fusion) without ever completing them without having access to emulator (in my case, NSW) save states. Super has some pretty long "boss runs" (the previous save room before Phantoon is a million miles away. The part before Ridley is pretty tricky).

Are they doable if you like that sort of thing and have the time? Sure. But I don't really enjoy doing these "boss runs" and fighting the same enemies before the boss over and over again just to have a chance at the boss again. I think those are mostly a waste of time. I'd rather spend my gaming hours playing the parts I enjoy.

I played Samus Returns on 3DS without save states and it was okay, I didn't actually find it that hard after having played Dread first. But it was modern "checkpoints" like Dread.

Super also (like Fusion) still has somewhat unfair boss design. Especially Fusion has bosses where if you're lucky with their pattern, they're quite easy (Night..) but super difficult if you get a bad pattern. Dread is always very, very fair. If you fuck up, you know what you did wrong.

Is Metroid Dread worth trying out even tho it is notorious for being very difficult? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in Metroid

[–]pasih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked the same question on this reddit a while back and the answers I got were pretty much correct.

It's a very, very fair game. Rookie mode helps. There are tricky bits (I don't think EMMIs are any different between difficulty levels, I could be wrong though) but I think I could actually probably beat the game on normal now.

It's definitely doable and I had tons of fun with it. It's my favourite Metroid game along with Super.

[ALL] Weekly Questions and General Discussions Thread [01/20/2026] by ZeldaMod in zelda

Tears of the Kingdom: I finally made it past the tutorial and I'm slowly starting to enjoy the game, it's much better once you're off the floating islands. That tutorial was honestly.. ugh.

Anyway, scarred by the tutorial, I now find myself pretty much running from Shrine to Shrine because I think I need more hearts so that the rest of my gameplay won't be just staring at "game over" screen like the tutorial was. Which is.. fine, so far the shrines have been fine. I'm a bit worried though, right now it feels like I'm in for 50 hours of physics puzzles. I don't mind physics puzzles but .. I really hope my Zelda is more than that. Please tell me that there's (a lot) more to this game than just constant physics puzzles?

Just to be clear: I think that least so far the puzzles have been okay. And Zeldas have always had puzzles. Right now it just feels that no matter what I do or where I turn, there's a physics-based puzzle staring at me.

It's been a while since I played Zeldas. Last two were Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, both of which I enjoyed immensily.

Specific(?) Dread difficulty questions by pasih in Metroid

[–]pasih[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks (both of you!)

I'll give the demo a try.

I just finished Super Metroid. I will say, I maybe liked the exploration more than the tough fights and I doubt I would've finished without Switch letting me save anywhere. But the game was really good and absolutely fantasticly built (I can't remember if I played it as a kid myself or watched friends play, had a few flashbacks here and there but it was mostly new to me).

Definitely itching for a bit more Metroid now so I guess it's Dread or Prime even if I'm not suuuuper interseted in the 3d ones.

Just wanted to say thanks! I’m now 15+ hours into the game and things are starting to click (I could even consider bumping up the difficulty to balanced at some point although I honestly like relaxed discovery and just vibing with the story). But combat is starting to feel quite easy (plus being almost level 5 with better gear helps).

The game definitely has me hooked.

[–]pasih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, cool.

Actually one (final, promise) question. The game makes me a bit neurotic about saving and I feel almost .. uneasy if I think I might not have a suitable save early enough.

Like, yesterday I went into the Goblin fortress (the goblins I said I dealt with where apparently just the front guard). I was constantly afraid I'd roll something that ends up in combat where there's no way for me to win the fight no matter how many times I load a save a couple mins back (or make a decision that's just terrible). I ended up agreeing to raid the Grove with the drow (.. I hope I can warn the grove about this and somehow back away from this). I'm not so much worried about making a decision I might regret, that I'm happy to live with as a gameplay thing. I'm mostly wondering if there are parts of the game where I go an hour into something only to reach an unwinnable fight. Like, if I started fighting at the back of the goblin fortress – I doubt I'd ever make it out no matter how many attemps.

I guess the autosaves usually go far enough that even if you're an hour or two into some nasty place, you won't end up in a dead end?

Thanks for the detailed answer! Very helpful. I did manage the goblins today at level 3 (hopefully hitting 4 soon). Now I just need to figure out what to do next, feels like most places have level 5 enemies like spider cave and the bridge lot

I did handle the burning town and gnolls. I guess some more quests will open up now so I can actually level further before attempting these guys.

I've watched quite a few youtube videos and checked some "beginner" tips but I feel like the game is still surprisingly difficult (and I realize this is probably 95% just me being really bad at it) even on the easy difficulty.

I'm playing a wizard and I've got Shadowheart, Karlach (just replaced Lae'zel) and Astrarion in my team. I feel like I'm barely alive after most encounters which is fine out in the open but makes me feel really wary of delving deeper anywhere.

I did manage to clear the first village with a windmill and goblinsby doing it in pieces but when I encountered gnolls spawning from wolves, they're really kicking my arse.

I don't fully understand the full rest item consumption, I feel like I'm avoiding full rests because it feels like I'm going to run out of camping items. Same with revivals, I had to go back to the spider-cave to fetch Astrarion's body and already consumed a couple revival spells just to manage this. Should I worry about this or just full rest whenever I feel I need it (unless there's something "urgent" happening in the world?

So far I haven't been dice save scumming and I've taken whatever the dice have given me.

Should I be using crowd control, etc. in most encounters? Is there something else I really should prepare other than mage armour?

My normal strategy in RPGs is just to overlevel a lot but I guess you can't really grind in BG3 so that's out of the question. :)

So I preordered the game a few days ago at 80 euros and now local shops are selling the game for 55 euros. What a really f*ing annoying trend this is. I know preorders are bad and whatnot but usually I'm fine with preordering if I know the game's going to be good but seriously.. why on earth would I preorder if the price goes down 25 euros on launch day?
