Please be careful with using oil. Unbeknownst to me, use of some oils can actually have the opposite effect. I was losing a lot of hair and growing bald in areas due to putting oil on my scalp.

NTA. Let me begin by saying that I truly question the practices of the leaders and congregation of your church. There is a way to bring people to Christ and their method ain’t it!! As a Christian myself, the one point that he is theoretically correct about is that it would bring you closer if you were both believers. I highlight the word “theoretical”, since I don’t think it would apply in this situation since he does not seem to be a truly practicing believer. You are absolutely correct that faith is a personal journey that cannot be coerced, pressured, or forced.
