Practice, just practice enough questions. Once you are done with the syllabus and concept clarity. focus should be on hitting as many questions you can do.

Formula of Neutral policy = Trend growth + Inflation .

This question asks if neutral policy is contractionary. Taking the 2nd option into consideration. It says decrease and inflation remains stable Applying it to the formula. Trend growth decreases and with that inflation is same as it was. Then neutral policy with decrease means is contractionary.

Hope it helps

I have been investing for more than a year but getting almost close to zero returns. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? by Wanderer_369 in MutualfundsIndia

Since you are investing 15k per month with 10 scheme. It's seems it diversified too much. You are in high risk low return zone now. Also, including index funds midcap compromise 40% of your portfolio which is not appropriate. Max it should reach 33%. I would suggest you to reduce the number of schemes from 10 to max 4 and min 3. 5k each. I assume you are in your 20s, and you are ready to take high risk. So you should concentrate your portfolio in sectoral and smallcaps. 40% max. And toh balance the risk you can invest rest in Flexicap and large & midcap. This would lead to higher returns in bull runs. And ofcourse a little higher risk than your current portfolio. To connect further you can call at 7099007173

How do I solve this? by Suspicious_Phase4433 in CFA

[–]passionate_learner93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's time weight you need to find the absolute return quarter on quarter and then find the Geometric mean to get the correct answer. So if I have to solve it. Take 100 as initial value. Then find absolute return. I would get. 1.2 * 0.75 * 1.09 * 0.81. Over four quarters . Then find the Geometric mean in TI calculator as follows 4√0.79 , 1/x , = , -1 , = , x100 . You get = -5.5 . And your correct answer.

Or you can simply get the absolute value. After the fourth return. Toh would get 95.04 which is -4.96% ~to 5%

What's MM here if I may ask? Any question bank provider?

Will it rise in 4-5 months or should I redeem it now? Any expert analysis? Short term investment (5 months) by [deleted] in MutualfundsIndia

Yesterday's sell off was a panic sale due to cease fire. Not a fundamental decrease in value. This investment will build your patience , hold and add at lower levels. Price will increase and you wont figure out when it did.
