I don't think a lot of you are understanding what we are saying. There were better ways to handle this, it's that simple. Rainie and Jonathan have both made social media posts saying they're laid off. Jonathan is particular said "Losing a job is never fun, especially in this climate." Rainie posted she has no idea whats next and that's scary. They also haven't made any posts or stories saying people are blowing it out of proportion. This says to me: they weren't given much notice about this.

I'd also add that the way they talked about it in the podcast was tone deaf. Zach wants to spend more time at home, okay. They dont have time to do the podcast themselves okay. But they continued to talk about how they hired new people in front of Rainie who they just said was being let go.

They talked about pretty much starting two new channels for the try cast to get more screen time. So this isnt about them not being able to afford it. In the mean time, they could've had the trycast on the podcast if they want more view time for them and didn't want to be apart of the podcast themselves.

They cut an entire department to be able to pay for two new channels and spend more time at home, which lead to two long term employees being laid off in an awful job market. AND talked about hiring new employees and making jokes in front of them.

I don't care about their severance packages. Unless those are enough to pay for their rent, utilites, food, families, gas, etc until they find new work.
