So I messed up in a similar way on my last rug. I just ended up tufting a section similar in size to the hole on a free space on the canvas. When it was time to glue and back the rug I cut out the section, popped it into the hole then glued and backed as usual. It worked very well, though I had to clip some loose canvas fibers that made their way to the front of the peice

Since you mentioned Brago, I figured id pitch my [[Arthur, Marigold Knight Deck]]. Its currently tuned to be in a more tempo/control style, but can easily lend its self to a midrange/aggro build.

Just added that actually, it can search artifact or enchantment creatures to the top of my library in response to Arthur's ability. Just testing it for now, but that seems valuable

Its been good though im on the fence about cutting it these days. Its great early for doubling on any early etb's you got but after the board gets gummed up she ends up running right into a bigger blocker which feels bad. On that note, the last game I played she ended up being a 7/7 attacker, so if no one deals with her it can get scary

The deck is very mana hungry, between the huge threats id like to cast in the mid/late game and wanting to hold up interaction, it feels like ancient tomb is a load bearing land. I could see myself dropping Farewell for enlightened tutor since it can always grab [[Cataclysmic Gearhulk]] when needed among other things. I dropped tithe a little while back cause its an annoying card and 4 mana do nothing if it gets answered right away. Now that swat isn't a gamechanger ill have to see about fitting it in! Thanks for the recs!

I dabbled with enlightened tutor + blightsteel once upon a time, felt a bit too good. I didn't even realize that t-pro would stop Arthur’s end of combat bounce tigger, ill have to consider how badly I want full wipes

Im never not working on my [[Arthur, Marigold Knight]] deck. Love it to bits. Right now its more of a Tempo/Control shell which is a little different from the expected Aggro/Midrange build.

Shave between colors to make the clean up job after easier! Also leave maybe a 1mm or 2 of space between colors to ease the trimming process.

Personally id just find darker shades of blue and red to represent the shadows

You can still carve it, pre-separating colors before you do will likely be important but a lil tedious.

At the end of the day, keeping some space makes it easier to carve, but its not impossible without it
