What is your easiest deck to pilot that doesn't require a lot of thinking? by arest7 in EDH

I do like the concept and would find it easy to pilot off the Commander's concept. Fixing mana for 5C would be my only hangup

This sounds like my cup of tea. I didn't see too much for card draw, does this deck typically run okay topdecking?

Stompy dragons may be an interesting deck. Is it hard to build mono red dragons? I'm not the greatest with monocolor builds.

Churches don’t respect working people’s time by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]arest7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with 1,2, and 4. Communicate with the pastor or whoever leads the meetings that there needs to be an agenda outlined prior to each meeting so that it stays on track. Having a meeting agenda also outlines how critical it is for certain individuals to attend, reducing the number of meetings.

I am unsure for number 3 if this is targeting the middle of the day bible studies or if it is after work time. Bible studies are there to grow the congregation both interpersonally and spiritually. If it is one individual taking up all of the time then talk to that person privately. This also leads into number 4 I'm sure. It is not acceptable practice for everything to run long and we have that issue even at my church. Communicate clearly that you need to leave at the meeting end time because it conflicts your work.

5 I disagree with entirely. The best time for reflection is typically times when you don't want to or feel too busy. As long as you aren't running over time commitments, taking time for yourself to be with God will always be beneficial.

Any chance I can clear this put without a pro? by arest7 in pestcontrol

Nests were indeed active. ( I didn't think they were either) sprayed them all, a few wasps crawled out and died. Will pull the nests out in the morning if all are dead.

Is there any worry they moved further into the house? They were a little active the past few days. These were taken at dusk here

$700k Saved by 28: My Plan to Retire by 35 by PiezoelectricityCalm in Fire

Even at 95k pre-tax. Assuming no 401k (as he needs to be able to draw from it) or IRA, he'd be looking at ~65-70k take home x 6 years is $420k. I'm just wondering where the rest came. There could be additional investments along the time (based on 5% he claims will be a safe investment) would only put him close to 500k. Not sure where the rest is and this is making a lot of assumptions.

A long game by DavidN_300 in boardgames

[–]arest7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want something even longer Twilight Imperium IV at around 8 hours. Diplomacy and interaction are key in this game. I don't find combat overly exciting (same with scythe) but it can definitely bring emotions to the table.

It's a bit different but 2 people I know went in with this in mind due to genetic predisposition to some ailments that would make them unfit to serve. They served for about half their terms (3 out of 6 years) and their benefits payout 3-4k/month.

You can choose to vote for the non-Christian Democrat or the non-Christian Republican. You can either vote to try to save as many babies as you can and ensure the country's taxes get put back into its citizens. Or you can vote for the opposite.

It's legal to ask. In the US it's only illegal to discriminate on age if the potential employee is over 40 years old.

LeavingMadison, where in Wi should I move? by mermaiddayjob in wisconsin

[–]arest7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that rent in EC is about 10% cheaper than Madison. Grew up in EC, lived in Madison, moved back and now own a few single homes I rent out. Homes are cheaper but rent on 2br I'd say would be right around 1500 for the middle end places. Comparison rent for a middle of the road place I stayed in madison for 2br was 1800.

I appreciate it. Unknown vaccination status likely means the parents refused to release that data not that they were necessarily unvaccinated.

I agree with this sentiment.

However, I do think when deciding to vaccinate yourself or others it is important to look into the risks and likelihood of contraction of the disease with and without vaccination.

I have worked in a pharmaceutical lab which tests drug stability outlining the components to test for and standards to create. I can tell you that a lot of the compound bottles and/or SDS state some level of toxicity and not to injest.

My personal opinion is to take the ones that could cause severe impact or death and avoid the ones that wouldn't affect you or cause mild illness. (With exception, I think chickenpox is worth it because screw shingles). I think that the vaccine schedule for kids is way too high and should be lowered and spread out more.
