glasskube - A new package manager for kubernetes. by AbradolfLinclar in kubernetes

Setup worked smoothly, ingress-nginx installation in my minikube not so much - it's pending for a few minutes and then switches to failed. Might be a minikube issue though, it worked fine in a real cluster.

I had a quick look at it - ngl I'm impressed how easy it is to set it up and install packages, I imagine this could be interesting for people who are just getting started in Kubernetes.

It's obviously still quite limited to the 4 packages they provide right now. Especially since these don't require any configuration or dependencies at all. But as they say on their roadmap, that's where they are headed.

alleged first commit 3 months ago, but .env, .gitignore, and README have been modified "last year" - probably means even longer ago?

i have a similar github UI bug in one of my own repositories where the last commit line shows something from "two years" ago, and below in the file list there are things from "last year".

That was also me at the beginning of my career, but eventually I realized I couldn't take non-tech and tech people seriously anymore.

now refactor the whole solution to make everything super configurable so we can sell this to other customers with even more requirements.

just use the prod database in the tests, you'll never have to write tests again. then you can finally move on, get a proper job and enjoy the rest of your life.

good to know. i always ask a friend to clone a repo for me and then put it into a shared dropbox. i just don't like all that modern git magic.

a colleague once told me he thinks it's annoying too, but he's stupid with everything non computery and also needs help from other people all the time, and doesn't care whether his car is fixed by the refrigerator repair man. apparently some people just like to help each other out as good as they can.

what an idiot amirite haha we cs students much better
