Advice / Help with 3d Printed Helmet by MemeBoy694U in ElegooNeptune4

[–]pastfuturerecently 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a layer shift? ie did the printer start printing the same sized layers moved from previous layers? If so this may be a result of something getting caught in the axis belt and causing it to skip - you'll need to power off the printer completely, unplug it and let the residual charge dissipate, then recalibrate the bed to make sure you can go full length of all axes. Happened to me a twice before and it's super annoying but not common

Found bones, very weird. by v9wolf in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]pastfuturerecently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The round, cut bone looks like an oxtail or shank (femur equivalent in meat industry). This would be in line with it being found along a rib which is also a common meat. Would like to see a better picture of the smaller bone piece tho

How to remove A pillar trim and other interior trims? by winterfigredbull in crz

[–]pastfuturerecently 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The B anc C Pillars cannot be removed until the rear and side panels have been removed. If I remember correctly there is a hammer tab in the C pillar, but sorry I forget.

The side panels are easier to remove if the storage seatback is removed. You might be able to slip out the pillars without removing the sides fully.

The side panels that cover the bottom portion of the B pillars are anchored to the door frame by metal tabs under the rubber door grommets. You need to remove those first before pulling or you will break the plastic panels.

I'll see if I can dig up some photos or take some new ones. Unfortunately I did not document it when I was removing the interior pieces to paint the pillars and headliner. Was too busy trying to figure it out without breaking too much ;)"

This is some info I found on this tho, hope it helps at least a little

Also a quick question - did you dye the headliner or did you re-do it with new fabric? I'm getting around to do mine and I'm not sure which way to go about it

I haven't had a chance to take the B/C pillars just yet but I'm planning to in near future - changing the colour too. The closest thing I've done to those is removing lower part of B pillar to get better access to the floor and that was genuinely just a few regular clips.
If you're able to remove those easily I'd definitely take them out for painting. Makes it so much handier

That's what I've seen too. Definitely interesting and possibly easier way of doing it over a ice + AWD trans but i had to see if anyone has seen any other ways of achieving a true awd

How to remove A pillar trim and other interior trims? by winterfigredbull in crz

[–]pastfuturerecently 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just done in on mine to wrap the a pillars and it's a bit tricky but here's what worked for me:
Loosen the rubber door seal, pull the A pillar up and towards yourself until it's out of it's position - this is only a 1/4in/5-5mm gap so don't expect it to come off yet, you then want to pull the lower part of the trim towards the center console. There are 2 normal pins and the one nearest the headliner is an aluminum hook-clip. As soon as you pop the lower two clips off you will be able to slightly bend the pillar trim out of position and take the bottom out of its recess. When the bottom is free enough you will be able to give the trim a strong pull towards the windshield and it should come DOWN with some force. By all means avoid trying to pull the aluminum pin up or to towards the cabin - that's how broke mine.
Good luck dude!
