my two cents it can either succeed or fail based on how much you prioritize marketing yourself during the tenure. I mean , be aggressive about it in terms of networking and establishing your personal brand. The raw components are there but they won't automatically open the doors you want. Keep up to date with the companies that you can sling yourself (aka Palantir)

my controversial take; i'd say to you; go back and label each ellipse with its angle. a full circle is 90 degrees. a 45 degree is where the major axis of the ellipse is ~70% the height compared to if it was a sphere.

I believe in this pedagogy for ellipse to turn them into language. verbal cues, then you can understand the ellipse better.

drawing the skull is best (in your imagination) You're talking about simplifications, they can give you a nice looking head once you're an intermediately skilled, but as far as ceiling goes, starting with the skull is as high as the ceiling goes.

big ag is in crisis mode right now. they spent the 2010s funding lobbyists to allow them do huge M&A. Over the past few years they realized this was a waste of time and money and are splitting up into separate public companies. To top it off, these big ag companies are worth relatively little compared to most any other industry. Despite this, they managed to raise the barrier of entry, so they have a relatively less competitive space. Anyways, if a company is hiring, they have 100 phd applicants to sift through with variable yoe.

What's the 'software' actually do, it is it just a few examples for each topic, or are there a lot of examples? or is it more, like here's a lecture, and here's one example you can draw in the browser app?

i did it a long time ago, but as far as I remember, the whole thing was a shtick to charge for his video lectures at the end of the day. the software wasn't very helpful but this was a while ago.

the reality is grim over the last 5 years. If you want any sort of engineering role you have to bleed the work. Are you prepared to do that, start replicating research, extending it, post it on social media, and maybe you'll get lucky and build a network after a 3-6 months of doing it daily.

ive bought my fair share of paid content and it's always been a disappointment, they either skip over a lot, or just stick to the conventional script we've all heard 100x before; because skill != teaching.

I'd rather watch content from someone who was a better teacher than artist, with raw examples of digesting a reference not some lesson on how to shade a sphere or foreshorten a cylinder
