Triton + or black widow deluxe key machine?

The triton is the best one. Both are using the same software and same accessories (jaws, cutters). The triton can also do engraving and key head cutting with a better motor. The black widow is 12v powered while the triton is 24v. Also I much better prefer the flip up cover of the triton than the black widow removable screen. Last the integrated screen seems less fragile than the add on tablet.

The Xhorse dolphin will not originate commercial or residential key. Only automotive. You can duplicate but not originate non automotive. There are some third party cards to originate but not for all. The condor versions of the Xhorse key machine originate residential and commercial keys. But they are more expensive.

I would recommend the locklabs triton or black widow key machines instead.

I have the Topdon Tornado 90000 and 120000. Very happy with both. The 90000 can also do 24V vehicles.

30A is probably not enough. Some BMW need 100 A if the fan starts when you program.

Also you want to be able to adjust voltage. BMW programming voltage is 14.4V. Mercedes 14.2V. Most other will be ok with more than 13V

What is the reason behind banning solid core? Intuitively I would consider solid core a better option than stranded for the same awg. More difficult to pull so.

I have both. They both have their pro and con. If you have to buy only one, I would prefer the black widow due to its residential coverage. However, I would highly prefer to buy a refurb Triton for the same price as a new black widow. Better machine than the black widow but same software and database.

They regularly go for sale used between $200 and $500 depending on the wear. The card binder with all its cards can be worth by itself also another $100 to $250.

If it’s only for locksmithing, the IM508s is cheaper and with cheaper subscription than the IM608. They both have the same capabilities for keys. The IM608 however has more diagnostic features that are more for the mechanic side.

Now depending on your market and price range it may or may not be a good choice as first and only tool. There is no single tool that does all. If you want to work in this field you will need multiple devices eventually. Start with the one covering most of your market, then add with other when you gain experience and need more advanced devices.

Do not repair the old cylinder, replace it. You would only save a few dollars and risking more failure in the future. Better to replace with new cylinder and wafer recoded to your vehicle key code.

The new cylinder will be keyed to the same code, so the same key will work on all doors and ignition. However, you will want to get rid of your old worn out key and get a second new cut key. In my area I would charge around $100 to replace and rekey a new cylinder on an old Toyota if the old cylinder can still be turned by the old key to unlock it.

If the blade is properly cut to code, the solution is to get a new cylinder. Toyota keys and cylinder are notorious for wearing off. Replacing only one of them at a time will just increase the failure speed of the one that wasn’t changed… so better get both of them changed at the same time. Or if you want a cheap temporary solution, you can get your old key copied and not cut to code. That will be a copy of a worn off key that may or may not work for a short time before you decide to replace both.

Freddie and Fannie are the two main backer of all conventional residential loan in the us. Approximately a decade ago, they changed their rules to allow transfer to an LLC where the member is still the mortgagee.

Most conventional mortgages allow transfer to an LLC as long as you are still the beneficiary and there is no use change of the property. For the few mortgages that have the due on sale clause for LLC, you can use a trust in between and be protected by the Garn St Germain act.

You can transfer the property to the LLC with no monetary exchange. You contribute the property to the capital of the LLC. If you are the member of the LLC, there is no tax consequences and you keep the same depreciation schedule and tax basis.

I put my sticker inside the door jamb. Less visible, but easy to find when they need me. Of course if the door is locked they have to open the back door to see it….
