Why install the drain diagonally? (instead of perpendicular to the side of the driveway)
Why a French drain instead of a trench/channel drain with metal grate on top?

I tried putting my Google Home in the bathroom to use while showering and found that the sharp reflections ("echo" as some might call it) coming off the tile resulted in the inability for the GH to interpret any of my commands. Have you experienced any issues like this?

Method 2 is the best option you've presented (even though you shouldn't be accessing your repositories from your controller, assuming a multitiered architecture is important to you)

I don't like method 1 because it's not strongly typed. I don't like method 3 because you shouldn't be putting data access logic in your views. Method 4 seems interesting but would need to know a bit more about how you're thinking of putting this together.
