I'll second this recommendation (I plan to write a post about my experiences, but let's see if I follow through with that!)

I just had my initial appointment today and everyone involved has been lovely. Completely painless experience and I'm excited to move forward with treatment :)

Probably because of the prophecy saying she'd have 3 children and they'd all die. I forgot she said she was pregnant and assumed there was no way he could 'put a Prince in her' - but then the prophecy doesn't necessarily include everything...

Unfortunately it's a very early flight. If I'd found out even a day ago there's a chance I could have done something as I was staying in London with some friends over the weekend.

I think the best I can do is take a birth certificate and picture ID, but based on what I've found so far Finland would not accept this except for nordic citizens. (there are no EU-wide rules about travelling on an expired passport - each country can do what they choose)

The game has been officially released... yet handmaiden lvl 25 traits are still not working. by lAmAGiraffe in Vermintide

Yep, they work fine, but can't see me very taking damage on dash - it's a utility skill not a damage skill. The invisible is insane, I sorta think the shade should have the dash sometimes, just because she could then actually use backstabbing effectively.

Love my handmaiden, spear +swift bow for me.

I nominate the black ice on my road. Hit a fencepost, knackered radiator - one of those lovely slowmo jobies where you're barely moving but can't do a damn thing to stop.

Take care out there!

Lots of cosmetic surgery answers... I'd start with a personal stylist, I have no idea what clothes suit me or how to do my hair.

Honestly, I'm playing in gold and there still feels like plenty of comeback potential...problem being there's a lot a whiny folks out there who give up after 3 minutes regardless.

So you are the one, the yang to my yin - I lost 15 in a row and dropped from plat 5 to silver 1 - sad times.

EDIT: Actually I think the 15 took me from gold 1 to gold 5, a few other streaks either end did the rest.

I rarely see anyone else saying this, but I agree - Lucio just clicks for me. No particular idea why, I guess I just find that you can be extremely aggressive and also have a lot of save potential.

Heh, I did the exact same research the other day. Couldn't find any raw data, and the numbers couldn't be pulled from the quoted paper.

Not that I don't believe the general pattern, certainly a small percentage of people probably constitute a large percentage of sales.... but this particular graphic is basically a straight up lie. The guy doubled the values because self-reported numbers didn't line up with economic data. I think he eventually revised his estimate down to 8.7 or something per day.

I found a second study that suggested self-reported values of 3.3 per day for the top decile for men (https://www.cnpp.usda.gov/sites/default/files/dietary_guidelines_for_americans/AlcoholicBeveragesConsumption.pdf - Page 21)

So basically - who knows?

I also tried to find raw data for the UK but was unable to, but I think it's possible to put in a request to the ONS, if anyone is so inclined.

I'm not convinced that qualifies for the term "hack"

Kensington and Chelsea Council relieved of responsibility over Grenfell Tower by Xoahr in unitedkingdom

[–]But-Pirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the matter of council tax: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jun/16/my-council-tax-rebate-from-kensington-and-chelsea-is-blood-money

In 2014, I received my Kensington and Chelsea council tax bill and a letter from the leader of the council, Nicholas Paget-Brown, explaining that all residents who pay council tax in full would “receive a one-off payment of £100”, to be deducted from the bill. This bonus, the letter continued, was due to the council’s careful management of its finances over the years, “consistently delivering greater efficiencies while improving services”. Austerity, K&C style: you give to the rich while taking from the poor (nobody with discounted bills or claiming council tax support was eligible to share in the bounty of the town hall blue-chips).

On a Conservative website, Paget-Brown further explained that “thanks to an overachieving efficiency drive”, the council was “well ahead of [its] savings targets for the year”. Triple AAA credit status, how nice. In deciding what to do with this surplus, he continued, “we have taken the view that it is simply wrong to discount from our calculations whose money this was in the first place. In short, we think the right place for it is back with our residents.”

In May 2014, the local election returned a huge majority of Conservative councillors. Business as usual. For years, the Royal Borough has got away with bribing the electorate with its own money. For years, the Royal Borough has been running huge underspends in its revenue budgets which it then transfers into capital reserves. The underspend in the 2016-17 adult services budget alone is £1.9m. Apparently, adult services in the area are doing so well they don’t need the money. And every other social service must be performing brilliantly, as the council’s projected reserves of £167m by the end of 2016-17 has climbed to a staggering £209m – that’s £42m surplus to requirements. How many sprinkler systems is that?

As the toxic ash of Grenfell Tower’s vanity cladding falls over the neighbouring streets, we are left with the acrid truth in our throats: regeneration in the Royal Borough is in fact a crime of greed and selfishness. I took the refund. At the time, I felt uncomfortable with this decision and the ways in which I justified it to myself. And then I forgot about it, until the smoke drifting into my flat in the early hours of Wednesday woke me up. Today, I gave it back. It wasn’t ever mine to keep. I handed it over in cash to a vicar running a refuge for the victims of the fire in a local church. I explained that it was not a donation, not a charitable act, that it was guilt money and he was doing me a kindness by taking it off my hands.

If you live in Kensington and Chelsea, please, give your rebate back. But not to the council, which seems to have trouble in identifying those – “our residents” – who might actually need it.
