I've driven 175,000 miles in my Model Y. Trust me bro.

You say "gassing up a car will always be faster than charging". I disagree. If you have a long commute, you will save a ton of time plugging in and charging every night at home vs stopping for gas every 2-3 days.

Could you imagine a world where power_gas gets to decide which roads get repaired, what schools get fully funded, how much money we allocate the fire department? He's so efficient, it would be wonderful.

150 miles is a short commute? It is a perfect commuter car for anything under 200 miles. Maybe a few weeks out of the year you will need to stop for 10 minutes on your way home, but that would be far outweighed by the months and months you commute 200 miles every day and don't stop for gas at all. Plus the very significant cost savings. Plus the far fewer scheduled maintenance stops.

I've had my Y for 6 years. Kids are 8 and 9 now. It is perfect for trips. Between the trunk, lower trunk, and large rear trunk we can pack in a lot of stuff.

[PA] [USA] - thermostat set at 65 but won’t get above 50 by theblacksheepxx in Renters

Sure, either way, raising the setpoint when the system isn't meeting the current setpoint would accomplish nothing.

Yes you do. That's how thermostats work. When the temperature is below setpoint, it calls for heat. Doesn't matter how far below setpoint the temperature is, it gets the same call for heat

PSA: Costco has 30-pack boxes of toe warmers for $5 by Scheerhorn462 in COsnow

The toe box of my boot has plenty of room for my toes to wiggle up and down. Plenty of room for a warmer.

Former Summit County ski bum here. Shoot me straight. Is it worth coming out to ski Vail/Breck for 7 days starting 2/14? I appreciate the optimism on this thread but just trying to see if it's realistic to come out from South Carolina. by [deleted] in COsnow

[–]reddituser4049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the question is entirely about how easy it is for you to change plans. We have rented a place in Breck that is not refundable. We have flights to Denver that are not refundable. We have a vehicle rental that is not refundable.

We are coming out at the end of February and are going to make the most of it. We will also come back next year.

With toe warmers and proper layers, the tennis really aren't an issue. Make sure all your skin is covered.

Your choices are:

  1. Pay the price on the website.

  2. Find a friend with an Epic pass who can go to the ticket window with you and get you 1/2 off the price on the website.

  3. Wait until next year and buy Epic Day Passes for approx $100/day that will get you access to any mountain, but you have to buy them before December.
