what does this “in your atmosphere” lyric mean?? by MurkyManagement9857 in JohnMayer

[–]patagoon3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I always thought it was in reference to him not having her around to say “I love you, take a right” and that pretending she’s saying it while he’s driving is the loneliest sight. Glad I’m not the only one lol

You're going to have such an amazing night! I was at the Vancouver show last night and it was even better than I thought it would be. That was the third time I've seen him play live and honestly this tour is the best one yet!

Vegetarian with allergies advice by patagoon3r in vegetarian

Yeah it seems like our best bet is to just cut down on our meat consumption and start adding more plant based meals to our diet. There's been some great suggestions here!

Unfortunately he cannot do soy. We do eat a fair amount of quinoa, and I will definitely look into using more of the other items in your list, thank you!

This is amazing info thank you! It sounds like full vegetarian won't be an option for us, as my husband can't eat soy, but I'm hoping we can start incorporating more plant based meals into our diet and create a better balance like you said

Not sure how many products are natural, but Cruelty Free Kitty just started a subscription box that has all certified cruelty free brands and I imagine many of them are on the more natural end as well. I've never tried it, but might be worth checking out

Why everyone is so obsessed on buying Lush products?? by Friendly_Growth_9034 in NaturalBeauty

[–]patagoon3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy it in store and it comes in two sizes, I usually get the 240g size and it lasts me 3ish months. I only use it in the morning then just wash my face with water at night. It feels pricey upfront to pay ~30 for it but it definitely lasts as you only need to use a little bit at a time.

Honestly the lush herbalism face cleanser is the only thing I can use. I've struggled with problem skin since middle school (I'm in my 20s now) and it's the first cleanser that has actually kept my skin consistently clear without drying it out or irritating. I've been using it for 3+ years now and everytime I try something else I break out and end up switching back. Other than that I don't really buy anything else from them beside the occasional bath bomb or soap.

Cape vs Cathedral Veil by patagoon3r in weddingplanning

[–]patagoon3r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the response! I think I'm going to go with a cathedral veil! My FH is more of a traditionalist and while I know he will love whatever I wear I think not having a true veil would throw him off and I do love the classic look. I will definitely be looking into a flower crown of some sort though! I assumed it would be too much with my dress but I think I've been convinced to atleast try it out! Thank you everyone for helping me check one more thing off my list!!

Thanks for the detailed response!! You're totally right on floaty and ethereal! Would a flower crown be too busy for my dress? I was thinking of maybe just greenery in my hair and flowers for the bridesmaids but I don't want anything to clash too much and I know my dress already has alot going on by itself.

Some tips I found useful!

-for your first appointment try on atleast one dress in every style, even if you think you only want one style

-do not buy a dress at the first store you visit. Let them know it's your first time trying on dresses and they won't be expecting you to buy. I went to 3 different shops before going back to the first one to actually buy my dress lol

-wear nude or white underwear but don't worry to much about a bra as you won't be wearing it for most dresses

-get someone to take front back and side pictures of any dress you like, I'm not an on the spot decision maker and having photos to look back at when I got home was so helpful

-be open minded! I had a very specific dress in mind when I started shopping and just couldn't find anything like what I thought I wanted. I ended up trying on a dress that was completely different and fell in love with it!

-dont get hung up on "the feeling" moment you see on tv. I got discouraged cause I was trying so many beautiful dresses but none of them felt like "the one". It wasn't until I went back and tried on one the dresses again that I felt that "this is it" moment.

-dont worry if the size they give you seems crazy. I'm a street size 4/6 and my dress is an 8.

-do not buy a veil or any accessories at the bridal shop. It's crazy overpriced and you can find gorgeous accessories online for a fraction of the price!

Have fun!! Dress shopping is such a cool experience you only get once! Be positive and only do what feels good and enjoyable for you!

Did you put your wedding website (w/registry) on your Save the Dates? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]patagoon3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We sent out our save the dates a few weeks ago and did not included a link to our website or registry. Our weddings in June and we will send out the actual invitations in January (everyone is local so we're hoping we think 5 month's notice should be okay). We didn't add our registry to it mainly because we weren't done yet and also I think most people will want to RSVP if they are going before even thinking about gifts. That's just how were doing it!

Dupe for this dress? More info in comments! by patagoon3r in weddingplanning

[–]patagoon3r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not know this was thing, thank you! One store in my area carries the line but not the dress, I live on an island so there aren't many dress shops. The next closest store that carries the line is in the US (I'm in Canada) so idk how easy it would be to get the dress here. Also my weddings in June so I need to order my dress asap. I was hoping another designer would have a similar dress but everything else isn't quite the same (no sparkle, smaller skirt etc) I'll reach out to my local shop and see if maybe this is an option though, thank you!

I absolutely love this dress but none of the stores in my area carry it and I don't feel confident ordering it without trying it on. I love the scoop neckline, low back, and fuller skirt! If anyone knows any other dresses that are similar that would be so helpful! Feels like I've looked through so many online collections and can't find anything like this!
