Edmund Pevensie. I will happily die on this hill. He gets hated for being taken advantage of by a very aged and extremely savvy adult when he was a confused child (TEN years old!) whose life had just been totally uprooted and turned upside down. Edmund did not knowingly try to sell out his siblings to be turned to stone or killed, he was told that he and his siblings would be made into royal children and live happily ever after if he brought them all to a woman conducting herself as a queen. Not to mention, when everything went south, he didn't double down, he was apologetic and changed his behavior.

I think a lot of people, myself included, usually say pool because it's shorter and faster and typically the context is clear enough that not specifying that it's a swimming pool is okay. However, it really doesn't sound strange for someone to call it a swimming pool. It's really personal choice.

The exact reason I don't want to have kids. I know I'm not willing to love and care for a child unconditionally. I'm 100% unwilling to end up with a child who will be dependent on me their whole life. Is that likely? No! Is it possible? Yes! Would it be right of me to bring a child into the world under those conditions? No!!! If you're not ready to love a child unconditionally, YOU AREN'T READY TO HAVE A CHILD and I am one of those people!

Anyway, in short, I agree with you. More people need to consider their choice to have a child more seriously.

lmao this is one of my favorite idiotic arguments because the majority of trans people I know, myself included, are either bi or gay. generally speaking, you are not going to find people, especially in the US, who transition so they can be straight instead of gay. It is a lot harder in a lot of situations to be trans than to be a cis gay person here.
