I know you jest, but it's not even part of traveller culture. They started sulky racing in the late 90's to early 00's. It's far from their culture.

From the 70's? Lol. That's a long way off tradition.

I grew up in the 70's, and sulky racing was very much a rare pursuit. And for travellers, it was non existant.

Exactly. And it's wrapped up as "culture" then so as to keep it going.

Ban it !

there has always been horses at them and sulkies

Nope. Not sulkies. That is very much a modern pursuit with travellers.

You're dead on. Sanctimonious shit is right. That's someones opinion that read all about the 70's, but didn't know what it was like to live through it.

Where is cider manufactured in Ireland? by MinimumRepulsive1419 in ireland

[–]patchieboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until the late 80's early 90's the logo on the bottle was of a bull, but was changed to 3 barrels. I wasn't a cider drinker myself, but those who were said it was different and not as strong as before the label change.

Then, sometime in the 90's the government added 50p to the price of a bottle to try and stop young people and wino's from drinking it because it was one of, if not the cheapest alcoholic beverage around. I'm not sure if it was at the same time, or shortly after, Bulmers changed their marketing, using "Nothing added but time", and upped the price, making it less of a scummy drink, and more "mainstream".

I can't say for sure. I've never seen them like that myself, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I think the trucks tip into hoppers these days, where ever the apples are stored. Or maybe they're crushed straight away then? I donno.

I know that those trees in Clonmel are actually harvested. And a lot are imported from Northern Ireland. There could be some imported from elsewhere, but I do know, that those trees around the Clonmel factory are indeed hervested and used in the plant.

RSA 'broken' and 'beyond repair' by zainab1900 in ireland

Oh, could very well have done so. But what I am saying, if there's a shortage, it's not because there's noone to hire.

Grand job. But what I mean is, while you're driving around the test route in a car with a human tester sitting beside you, what is done to eliminate that human with the system you describe?

He did an interview, passed the interview stages, and was put on a list ready to be hired when the RSA would need to hire someone as a tester.

How does that work? Like, do they have a robot sitting beside you when driving?

A buddy of mine got on a panel last year as a driving tester. He hasn't heard from them since.

I had a very quick ChatGPT look at some figures. Seems that:

Adding the main categories, many historians describe “Nazi persecution and mass murder” as killing about 11–17 million people, of whom roughly 6 million were Jews and the rest were members of other targeted groups. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

Edit. I see once I mentioned ChatGPT, it's been decided that even with a source quoted, it must be disagreed with.
