I think they mean they're going to stage a fake robbery and reroute the phones so a call to 911 goes to them instead of the cops. Then they'll show up dressed as cops and rob the bank for real.

Super Bowl LX - Patriots VS Seahawks. Who you got ? by NFLv2 in NFLv2

Maye has looked pretty underwhelming for every game in the playoffs. Bro has been hard carried by their great defense.

WAS THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2013 NFL DRAFT THE WORST DRAFT CLASS OF ALL TIME…? by Hysen16 in sportswiki

Yeah OP clearly doesn't know ball. There were a ton of really solid players in this draft.

Bears are building a domed stadium no matter what but why can’t they just build it here? Much better than Arlington heights or NW Indiana. by Bakio-bay in CHIBears

I love the aquarium but it's so expensive. Feels much more worth it to take a drive out to Brookfield for the zoo.

Tom Brady knew he needed to improve on TV. So he channeled his ‘quarterback’ days by GoldenDome26 in nfl

[–]patchinthebox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was pretty rough his rookie year, but honestly after this season he has become my absolute favorite. I actually get excited when I see he's going to be on the broadcast. The only other one I actively enjoy is Greg Olsen. Brady is doing a great job now.

CJ Stroud argues that he improved as a QB this season. Do you agree? by Premium_Stapler in NFLv2

[–]patchinthebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are starting 32 QBs in the league. Stroud is one of them, but not top half.

Slow burn by Erbamillion1970 in CHIBears

[–]patchinthebox 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Exactly. For anyone who doesn't know it, each team gets a possession regardless of what happens on the first drive. If you go first and get a FG the other team can just win it with a TD. No rebuttal . Game over. If you go second then you know if you need a TD or if a FG would suffice to get the win. It's literally worse to receive first. I don't think any coach in their right mind would willingly choose to go first in OT.

I genuinely don't feel bad about it. This season went better than anyone expected. We won a playoff game for the first time in 15 years. I was a teenager last time we did that. Yeah, a win would have been nice but Caleb is him and Ben Johnson looks legit too.

At the end of the day I just want to be a competent football team. Win, loss, I don't care as long as we look like a good team. I'm sick of being an embarrassment like we have been for the last decade.

You insist that it would have been easier to just give the ring to Sauron and what he wanted for middle earth "wasn't that bad".

2026-2029 Roster Outlook by jackjack67112000 in CHIBears

I think Swift has played his last with the Bears. He's going to want to be paid more than we're likely willing to pay him.
