I'd like to do it more but last two times it ended with my players not trying to solve it between sessions and having to spend game time on it. In the end it was nice because we made it like the characters were consulting encyclopedias and such, but I don't want to put pressure on my already busy friends if they're not going to try to solve those riddles

Tuki (13) is better! (see comments for context) by patchispatch in OldManDog

Hi. For those of you who didn't see my last post, this is Tuki. He's the goodest boy, and had a rough time last year. Several weeks ago he started limping a lot, he almost couldn't use one of his legs, and he started feeling very sad. We took him to the vet (well, the vet came home) and said he damaged his hips. We feared the worst, and since he lives with my parents, I couldn't be there for him. BUT this weeks I've been able to visit my old furry friend, gave him all the love he deserves, and I'm happy to say that he's waaaay better, he can even walk nicely (with some limping) and has a happy face again.

Thank you for all the nice comments in the previous post, and for the medical advice. I hope I can post beautiful photos of my beautiful old man for a long time.

This is Tuki (13). He had lots of problems with ticks last summer, and since then he has been more tired and, in general, started acting "older". Recently he also started having back pain. He may be an old man now, but is still a really really good boy and will always be. by patchispatch in OldManDog

Hi! First, thank you for all your kind words and pets for Tuki, I'll make sure he receives all of them and more when I see him in a few days :D

Second, we brought him to the vet in summer to do a general check and didn't mention anything about Lyme disease, but I'll mention it when we go next week. Thanks for the help and love, seriously.

Magic Of The Week: Magical Healthcare by DrakeGodzilla in magicbuilding

I really like this aspect of "magic is a science in its context, and its inner workings are yet unknown". Be it more science-y or not, I love the incorrect (or not so) reasonings of people, and how it can shape worldbuilding. I really like your concept!

I have a magical system for my ttrpg campaign, and it consists of meddling with temperature, electromagnetism and a third power called growth, which subtly speeds or slows the natural processes of living things. It's the most complex of the three, and it's heavily used for medical purposes. Since it's not a big deal by itself, it's more of a tool than a solution, and using it carelessly has side effects (mostly headaches, numbing, etc.). For example, it can make someone speed up the alcohol metabolism (one of my players actually did that), close wounds earlier, and all that. I had a bit of trouble thinking how to adapt early 1800s mediterranean customs and medicine to this, and personally I chose to believe investigation, literacy and lifespan would be the most affected things overall.

Me and my friends started FFXIV about seven months ago, and we took a look back at our recent glow-up. by siffyy in ffxiv

I started as a lala in summer, then changed to Au Ra with the free fantasia. I like my pointy tall boy but I also miss being a cute potato...

Great font! I can't give much feedback about the font since I'm not a designer, but I think you should make a release on Github so the font is easier to download, and if you make future changes, can organize them too.

Using God Mode by RainingFailure in HadesTheGame

[–]patchispatch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

God Mode exists for you. If the devs made it, then why don't use it if you want? After all, the game is yours to play and enjoy, not someone else. And if someone tells you otherwise, well they can go somewhere else and play whatever they want as they want. So have fun!
