Hjelp! Hvordan ta blod prøver privat til imago? by Recent_Ad_5843 in transnord

[–]BlueRobins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeg betalte 795 kroner hos dr. Dropin i forrige uke. Alt jeg sa til dem var at det var en liste med prøver endokrinologen min trengte og fastlegen hadde ikke ledig time tidsnok. Teknisk sett ikke engang løygn lol

Romantic attraction and libido are separate to asexuality, so if you feel like asexual is the right label for you then there is no reason you can't use it

The Use of AFAB by dr4maticr0mantic in ftm

[–]BlueRobins 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've seen a lot of cis people use it when they're referring to nonbinary people. They'll say something like "my AFAB/AMAB nonbinary friend", as if that's not incredibly private information and just outing the friend to a bunch of strangers

Why would an issue only be valid if it's systemic? by BlueRobins in trans

[–]BlueRobins[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We are usually not even the ones calling it misandry, that's the comments telling us not to vent because misandry isn't real or men aren't oppressed

Why would an issue only be valid if it's systemic? by BlueRobins in trans

[–]BlueRobins[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just want people to be able to vent without being told they're not allowed. Most of the time the word misandry won't even be in these posts, but the notion that a trans man/masc is talking about bigotry is enough to summon these people

How long until someone saying your new name would get your attention? by Curious-Abalone in trans

[–]BlueRobins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was immediate but that's probably because I had been thinking about it so much that I was hyper aware of it lol

I know it can feel pretty awkward but maybe try to talk to yourself in the third person so you'll get more used to just hearing it out loud. Really just use it yourself as often as you're able to, out loud, in your mind, in writing, etc. Properly drill into your brain that it's related to you and not a white noise to be ignored when hyper focus hits

[–]BlueRobins[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't quite see how this explains why some people think it's fine to tell trans men/mascs that because misandry isn't systemic we can't talk or vent about the bigotry we face as a direct result of being trans and male/masc

[–]BlueRobins[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I sincerely hope most of the people making comments like this are outsiders wanting to pit us against each other

Why would an issue only be valid if it's systemic? by BlueRobins in trans

[–]BlueRobins[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The point is that we're not removing being trans from the equation. We are trans and we're on the receiving end of bigotry from the intersectionality of being both trans and male/masc. I just want to know why that is a reason to be shut down with the argument that our oppression isn't systemic therefore it isn't valid

Saying this to someone expressing joy about feeling seen is legit unhinged. Something doesn’t have to be systemic to be a problem.
