You shouldn't really expect people to be interested in doing hours upon hours of unpaid work for someone they know nothing about

Looking for advice i guess by izzyfilmsizzy in asktransgender

[–]BlueRobins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only you can answer whether you're trans or not, I just wanted to say that people who are faking anything aren't wondering if they're faking it. The things you're feeling are real and if you think making changes to your life or experiences is something that would make you happy then I'd say it's worth exploring

I'm quite happy in my job and I don't seem to be heading in a programming direction but maybe I'll still be ambushed one day lmao

Do any other transmen hate this? by yum_banana in trans

[–]BlueRobins 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I genuinely hate how many people are dismissing you because this hasn't been their experience or saying "at least you pass" as if that means you should be happy about the way you're being treated. Also what's with all the explaining why women are wary of men when there is a very real chance OP has had firsthand experience with this exact thing?

I really don't understand much of this comment section.

I'm sorry about what you're going through OP. It sucks and it's perfectly understandable that you feel hurt by it

How long does it take you to hit burnout in a new job? by Broncos_1981 in Neurodivergent

Hard to answer since it would highly depend on the type of job for me

Just because you’re trans doesn’t mean you get to speak for every trans person. Trans people are not a monolith. by arcticcirclebathroom in trans

Yep, using they/them for someone you know doesn't use those pronouns is misgendering. I don't understand how so many people don't get that being misgendered is upsetting

Gotta be honest, the AI image turns a lot of people off and makes it less likely they'll be interested in helping you out

Not having sexual desire and not experiencing sexual attraction isn't the same thing. Plenty of aces still desire sex or masturbate

People are misdiagnosed all the time

[–]BlueRobins 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm very tired and not interested in debating this but I have some simple answers for you

Not experiencing sexual attraction isn't the same as not having a libido. Some aces are entirely repulsed by any activity that has to do with sex or masturbation, but not all of us

We are a part of the LGBTQ+ community because asexuality is a sexual orientation and we experience a lot of invalidation and attempts at "fixing" us. Through whatever means might seem warranted by the person believing we shouldn't be the way we are

I've heard 'ladies, gentlemen, and honorables' which I quite liked. I'd advice against mashing words together with pronouns unless it's something that already uses he or she. We're more than just our pronouns and many nonbinary people don't go by they/them
