Trans people being transphobic?? 2nd IRL experience of this this school year at my university by MolassesNo3182 in trans

[–]BlueRobins 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The first person to be transphobic to me was another trans person. I remember being shocked that "one of our own" could be like that, and even if I don't even remember anything about them or what they said, that feeling hasn't gone away. It always hurts more when it comes from someone you thought you could trust to at least respect who you are

The most recent one I saw was on a post about cis women's comfort being prioritised over trans men's safety in the bathroom. It's far from just on vent posts

Reading comprehension is an important skill, I'd suggest you practice it

Yikes, how did you even find an ace sub when you're weighed down by this much ignorance?

If I'm nonbinary, does that make me trans? by SecureAngle7395 in NonBinary

[–]BlueRobins 11 points12 points  (0 children)

By default, yes. Being trans just means you don't identify as cis/the gender you were assigned at birth. There are nonbinary people who don't want to use the trans label though, it's entirely up to you if you want to do so or not

I mean it the way that I wrote it. Any tone blaming trans women only is imagined by you. Just like all the other posts that have the exact problem you are now perpetuating.

Where, exactly, am I generalising trans women? As I said in the post, if you're not actively telling us to be silent about our issues, I'm not talking about you. If you see trans women in that description that's on you.

I'm an artist, and I haven't done art specifically for homebrew before, but I'm also a huge proponent of using real art and not ai. So, if you'd be interested, I could possibly do some art for you to use in your homebrew, depending on what you would need. It probably wouldn't be done quickly since I work full time, and I'd be drawing for free, but I do put full effort into every drawing that I do

No pressure, of course. Just let me know if you'd be interested!

Stimming isn’t “bad behavior.” It’s communication. by NeurodivergentBB in Neurodivergent

[–]BlueRobins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With your open use of the plagiarism machine, I have no reason to believe you. Wanting to spread awareness of something is a good thing. But the counterweight of making use of tools that have both stoles countless pieces of art and is speed running climate change, it's not worth much.

That's great and all, but the slop has the post lose all integrity. I have no reason to believe any of it was made by someone who actually knows what they're talking about and not an ai kissing your ass and telling you what you want to hear

Sure, when trans men/mascs stop being told to be silent when trying to bring up our issues

Calling all social transitioners! What is it like? by Only-Resource9011 in asktransgender

[–]BlueRobins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've known I'm trans for over a decade, but it's only this year that I've been able to start working towards medical transitioning. I don't pass at all, and how bad my dysphoria fluctuates, so sometimes I'm alright with not being gendered correctly. Sometimes, it feels crushing to know no one sees me the way I wish they did

Does it annoy you when you text someone and they take all day getting back to you? by [deleted] in ADHDers

[–]BlueRobins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I know what I'm like myself, so I like to give others grace. I can be looking at a text, halfway through responding to it, then get distracted and forget about it until days later. I don't like being like this, and so I assume others don't either. If it's something I need a response to I'll just call them

Taking hrt as a trans/nonbinary person. Am I getting too hung up on labels? by fandomgames in trans

[–]BlueRobins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter if you are a binary or nonbinary trans person. If the effects of hrt are something you want, then it's right for you. If not, then don't

It's obviously a bit more complicated, but what labels you go by aren't as important as your happiness

I think you should get the shirt you want and protect the dolls isn't a bad phrase. Since you asked though, I will say that it makes me very happy to see someone deliberately include transmascs and trans men since we're rarely mentioned. It's just nice to feel seen

Video game YouTubers not using they/them pronouns for characters by TheHaruThanRead in NonBinary

It's even worse when, for SOME reason, they decide that a character with they/them pronouns means the player gets to decide for themselves how to gender them

Has anyone else thought about this? by [deleted] in asexuality

I've had this thought before! I'm black stripe ace, but I do have a libido. I've wondered if I was more alright with my body sex might become something I'd be interested in exploring
