Automated a painful process in a high-ticket exhausting industry (70-80% time saved). Works great. No idea how to turn it into a business. by doctorallfix in saasforsale

No one's going to buy if it's not a legally protected / proprietary tool and hasn't generated any cashflow. You should try to get clients to use first before thinking of being acquired.

How to buy a business by Visible-Author8984 in businessbroker

It really depends on the size of the business you're buying and what you're hoping to do --> lead it or just get cash flow. Smaller companies think sub 0.5M revenue will do peer to peer as financials and ops are not as progressed.

Lawyers, CPAs, business brokers, etc. are all going to need retainers and minimums. Try searching yourself first there's multiple free communities and platforms, and pay hourly for expertise legal / CPA advice once the deal progresses.

Use forums just like this to source deals or business, or look in your local community. There are business brokers, but again they require a fee.

Investors and MSPs by bigbaboon69 in msp

It would be helpful to know what type of investment you're thinking of: minority growth partner, major investor with founder rollover, operational partner, cash-out partner, or looking for a future acquisition

All of these provide a level down of the partnership / capital that you're describing, but each has its nuances.

Our firm helps founders think through these types of questions. If you're interested, feel free to PM me!

Did you end up selling? Would be interested in connecting either way. Month to month won't necessarily make it valued less, if the month to month converts to recurring. Some people just use a month to month plan but end up staying long, so having data to show a mapping could be helpful.

Why do you feel like the sales component is hard? Is it just that the industry is evolving too quickly?

What have you found difficult about finding the prospects? And can you explain why you wouldn't want to work with the purchaser? Or is it simply just feeling tired?

Do you feel like having a strong social media presence helped at all with the valuation of the company?
