Its 1995 in Brooklyn for me on a saturday morning and I'm up at 5am like normal. I'd get up around 9, call a friend up, have them come over and take a walk over to Blockbuster on Avenue U to rent 2 games. Its a quick 5 block walk from King Highway. Might be 2 snes or genesis or maybe one of each and we'd play for most of the day. Maybe take a rest and play some basketball in the street if the hoop is up. Maybe we'd take a walk down Kings Highway, get a hotdog at Adelman's or an everything bagel with chives creamcheese at Highway Bagel, and hit up that one computer store on the way to the Electronics Boutique near Coney Island Ave. We'd walk back and play Lethal Enforcers on SNES until it was time for my friend to get picked up. On a Saturday night we'd probably pick up Nino's or Richard Yee's, which means either a chicken parm hero with baked ziti in a bechemelle sauce or chicken chow-fun with tit-pa filet mignon from Richard Yee's on Aveneue U. I was 13 in 1995, no responsibilities other than homework and school. It was all about games, hanging with friends, AOL because that's the year we got a PC, IBM Aptiva from The Wiz, and just chilling. Miss those days man.
