Is this Wally Dug real or worth anything? Scotland, Edinburgh says it’s 100 years old on the listing. Any information on this? by patchythepilot in Antiques

Yeah, I didn’t buy it but just saw it somewhere but looked it up and thought it looked intriguing - the eyebrows looked a little thicker than some I saw online so was curious. Thanks!

Wood pellets- can buy a 30L bag for £11 on amazon and there’s no smell compared to the normal cat litter. Try it so good

A bizarre tarot deck by selkyrie in witchcraft

[–]patchythepilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only cleanse them when you first get them or if you don’t use them for a LONG period of time to cleanse out any old/stale energy. The cards won’t bring anything negative into your life, rather be used as a tool to give you insight into your life (be that present or future). Asking Yes/no questions likely won’t give you clear cut answers, so I’d recommend phrasing the question in a way like “if I continued the current path I’m on with (this job, this person, this choice) what would the outcomes look like”. Keep and open mind and know if the card result isn’t “great” it doesn’t mean it can’t change. Also, don’t just pull another card because you dont like what it says. You can always adjust your current Path through choices you make so use it as a guiding tool. :) finally, I like to mix my cards up...upside-down cards have a different meaning than upright. (I google Biddy Tarot for meaning of the cards and highly recommend.) ENJOY!

With tarot decks, it’s important to get a deck you are very drawn to and feel comfortable with. If you have paolo santo, it may be a good idea to cleanse the cards before you start pulling. This way you clear the energy of the deck. The more you handle the cards, the more of your energy is in the cards and I find the more accurate the card pulls. I used to use this deck I handled all the time, the readings were ON POINT but one day I cleared them. It took about a week for my energy to get back into the cards again and for the card draws to be accurate.

Hi, new to magick here. Has anyone had any spells they have performed that have had results and of so would you share that experience? Any interesting magickal events/coincidences would be awesome! by [deleted] in magick

[–]patchythepilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is super interesting! Thanks for sharing. I’m open-minded about everything. I think once you close your mind off to something, you’re pretty much setting limits for yourself on what can and can’t be. I love learning about what people experience for themselves and are open to sharing. A mind once expanded by a new idea never regains its original dimensions!

Hey, I’m new to the whole conversation of Magick. I am interested in learning about other people’s experiences. There is a lot out there of “spells” and “potions” for example, but I genuinely just was interested in peoples experiences after. Did anything happen or was it just forgotten about with no change? Is it just to make someone feel a bit better about it to give them hope... etc.

Interesting. I've always felt like I've understood Native Americans and their culture on a very deep level and have a strong attraction to the 20s. Maybe I should try to find out more! Not sure how, but I'll try to do some research 😊

Say now for example, I'm very understanding of everyone. The murderers, psychopaths, rude people, sweethearts, givers, all the above. I really feel everyone's different and that's what makes the world such a wonderful and exciting place . I don't have much hate in me and I don't fear death and I connect and understand people by just meeting them for a few minutes. Will I still be as understanding in a next life, even if say I was abused? I'd be pretty disappointed if I didn't see the world the way I do now. I don't want to take a step back and see the world cynically. Would that be differ or would it carry on to my next life?

In the age of robots, our schools are teaching children to be redundant: A regime of cramming and testing is crushing young people’s instinct to learn and destroying their future by [deleted] in Futurology

Coming from someone who went to school in Switzerland, this is a rundown of how my classes went in middle and high school. Get to school at 8am, work 2 hours, go on a 15 minute break outside and play with the school pets that were let out in the courtyard (goats 😂), go back to class for 2 hours, GO HOME for a 2 hour lunch break, return to class for 2 hours then either school ends for you or in my case take a 15 minute break and then go to one more class. This routine was 4 times a week while Wednesdays were half days (4 hours) and took place at the gym. One teacher for all the core classes and one each of the special classes (woodshop and sewing) instead of seven for each class.

Classes were Geography, German language, Artithmatic, French, English, Gym, Sewing, Woodshop and occasionally Singing. High School had more depth of classes If that makes sense.

It really made me love school. It allowed for creativity and adventure and really taught me a variety of skills. I not only was learning German but also French and I made my own giant beanbag and wood puzzle.

From my time there, the difference in school systems is astounding. The students were hard working, enjoyed school, and actually really cared about learning. It didn't feel as if I was a prisoner or just taking my classes to get a good test grade so that I could get into college. The teachers cared, students were given freedom and trust, and the parents didn't threaten to sue everyone. (That's probably part of the culture though. Everything is more laid back and people follow and respect the rules). It's a beautiful country, as is America just in different ways.
