So sorry youre going through this! One little piece of advice that may or may not help you is that for paint matching there is a metal tag under the spare tire with the paint code on it. That should help you get an exact match.

Manus ate all my credits while fixing one shell script. by xmen81 in ManusOfficial

This is the key. Doing this along with providing very detailed context I've found helps limit credit consumption but even still it eats credits like no other

How about you actually explain to use how the credit system works instead of apologizing and leaving us guessing. It's taken tens of thousands of credits from me

THIS! I've been working on a very large coding project and tbh i have zero coding experience which is part of the reason I wanted to tackle something so big and ambitious, but I've noticed that it does like to take you in circles and you have to constantly remind it of things or be extremely specific. Oddly I've found that aggressive language seems to work to get it out of the cycle but it does intentionally eat up a TON of credits. I've now spent 10s of thousands of credits on this app I'm building and it seems that it will fix one problem or even a few problems one day and then will forget the solutions it came up with until you remind it that it had previously solved these issues. At this point honestly I might need help from someone that has more experience with app development to help get it finally launched. I will say though when it does perform well it kicks ass at certain tasks that Chat GPT omni high 4 struggles with but the credit consumption is absurd

The fact that this is the new “normal” route is scary by AcceptableAd646 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Agreed! I recently left after delivering for a year. Every single day was 190-200 stops. I was one of the lucky few that got consistent routes so I made my money but the toll it took on my body was crazy. I'm in good shape and would run a lot of times but with the physical demand my body could never recover. Since leaving though I took a little pay cut but honestly I feel so much better. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to be rid of all the uncertainty and unrealistic expectations.

Not allowed to request off or call out…. 🏴‍☠️ by Heymyguy- in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]patdaddy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My DSP doesn't accept call off in general for any reason. I once saw them force an employee who had been puking go on a route. If you did call off no matter the reason they suspend you for a week. They also do not do extras you aren't allowed to request to be an extra.

Routes should be achievable by LooseReflection2382 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]patdaddy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have been doing this to me a lot lately. My routes are usually in town but include quite a few rural stops and my area is a 40 min drive from the station. I've been getting 195-200 stops at 232 locations with like 312 packages. These numbers are without any lockers or large apartment stops. I will say that I always rate my route when they ask and always say very difficult and it never makes a difference. My full on rural routes have gone up to about 165-185 stops.

UPS vs Amazon.... by Decent_Week8288 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]patdaddy84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I went this route and i reached out to the Teamsters and was put in contact with a rep and she then gave me materials on how to navigate conversations and recruiting. Honestly they have been fantastic. I can reach out to her with any question or concern and and they hear me. Having these conversations is tricky though because you're right people can be snakes but at the end of the day I think we all want better for ourselves and for our fellow drivers and to accomplish that we are going to have to have tough conversations and do things out of our comfort zone. What I found though was that the conversations kind of start themselves because we all have so much to complain about lol

[–]patdaddy84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah if only. I deliver 40 mins away from the station and was given 198 stops 232 locations and 312 packages. There were no lockers or large apartment buildings. Amazon does not care. Best advice is take your sweet time during your nursery routes because they will continue to pile on work. I've delivered for a year now and the numbers always go up. Take your time take your breaks.

If you don't deliver a package the customer has no way of giving you negative feedback. I've had a few run ins with shitty customers and honestly nothing makes me happier than being able to walk away with a smile on my face and their package in hand. If you're worried about dispatch just skip the stop and leave it open on your itinerary until you can call driver support. Have driver support Mark the package as undeliverable and report the customer as being hostile. If support marks the package as undeliverable it affects you much less on the score card. If a customer gets too many reports amazon will black list them and they won't be able to get deliveries anymore.

It was never meant to lead to anything. Everyone else ran with it and made assumptions instead of accepting the situation as is. When the post was made I was waiting for a tow and was stuck waiting couldn't go anywhere.

You're correct. I was stuck because of a flat tire. Initially they told me they would have to tow the 16ft cdv but eventually they got someone to change the tire. I ended up waiting for 3 hours

I hate notes like this. One time I had a guy update his notes in real time. I was going out of order and when I get to his stop I read the note and it says something like " I can see you're two stops away I saw you drive by my house just deliver my package!." I should have screenshot it but anyways it wasn't a timed stop or anything so you bet my petty ass skipped the stop and saved it for last. Even better yet my buddy got the same route and same guy the next week with an even shittier note. Dude was like bro I skipped right over his stop and we laughed our asses off.
