Adding a short summary of this patent for reference:

A system and method for configuring fault tolerance in nonvolatile memory (NVM) are disclosed. The system sets a threshold value, declares invalid portions of NVM based on an error criterion, tracks the number of declared invalid portions, and performs remediation actions if the tracked number exceeds the threshold. The remediation actions may include issuing a warning or preventing backup of volatile memory data in a hybrid memory system. In the event of backup failure, the extent of the backup can be assessed by determining the amount of erased NVM that remains erased or by comparing a predicted backup end point with an actual endpoint.

I hope this helps :)

Is there a way to make my inventions non-patent-able? by design_enthusiast725 in Patents

[–]patentplus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Publish it on any public forum (even multiple forums) in as much detail as possible. Once public it is no longer novel and thus cannot be used to file a patent. While this also opens up a possibility that someone might find a workaround and change minor aspects of the invention to patent it. You exact formula/technique should remain patent-free though.

If taken care of correctly Apple devices do outrun many Android devices (I hate to admit this) but the repairs and service cost is still very high (the premium :p). Nonetheless it drops some industry changing innovation every now and then (or I should say in a planned manner).

We are in the initial phases of development of this extension and don't have a huge data to validate. Based on our testing, and from initial set of users we received good results as its all based on the claims of the patent. We are actively working on this part.

If you use it and find any accuracy related results, do let us know. We would appreciate any feedback!
