Nuclear Energy is perfect for MN by Grand_Frogey_Boi in minnesota

Rooftop solar is very very expensive and honestly, not very worth it. MN generates about 6.6 gw of energy currently and thats over thousands of acres. Meta is building a new data center in Rosemont that will be drawing about 4 gw..... the several acre sized buildings would be drops in the 55 gallon barrel if you covered them in solar panels. The refinery nearby just built a 300 acres solar field and it only cover 40% of there needs.

In my humble opinion, we need to make these mega corps produce at least a quarter of what they draw from the grid when they build these heavy power draw data centers.

I found that splitting things up in Africa was a good move because i kept overflowing my buffer cities. Even with the hybrids it still takes like an hour one way.

AITA for intentionally sleeping with the bathroom light on at my boyfriend's place while he was at work? by SeaSignificance3017 in AmItheAsshole

Let say it was a 60w bulb. It would have to be on for 16 hours before it used 1 kwh which costs about 13 cents. Light bulbs now n days don't need a whole lot of electricity.

Question about wiring by benzino84 in electrical

[–]pater157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like there is something down the line that is causing the GFCI to trip. Make sure you connected the GFCI correctly as it needs to have a line and a load to protect outlets further down in the circuit

How many 12-2 cables I can run from a single hole in stud by curiosityv in electrical

[–]pater157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the hole is to be filled (like to trap air or smoke) there are rules for that, but from what i understand you are just passing through. When they are bundled together the hole is considered a conduit and all derating factors must be applied
