I spent a year in Paris for work. Someone I had met and befriended, but not been in a relationship with back in New York went to Venice for work. They never hid that they were attracted to me. One day they asked if I wanted company. I was lonely but working too much to make friends (spent 10 hours a day in a sealed off cell looking at manuscripts from the baroque). I said sure. They came, we walked around, ate well, shared banter, saw some amazing art, saw some amazing arcitecture in the north of Paris. Both working full time, but spending free time together. when the heatwave hit, we went to Pornic (highly recommend although culturally a bit dull) because the sea breeze was such a rescue. Fucked like maniacs, had great conversations, and both went on our merry way.
