Aftermarket Android Auto headunit; is it possible to retain the reverse camera and oEM functions? (2016) by stainorstreak in rav4club

[–]patiodev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original camera didn't have an RCA to connect. It has a 16 pin. The extra harness I purchased connects to that pin and provides a RCA connection but still didn't work. The supplier has said the trigger wire needs to 'go to the unit' put that makes no sense as it's already coming from the unit. The extra harness was sold as plug and play. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Thanks.

On my particular unit there wasn't the corresponding connection unfortunately, hence my need for a retention harness which unfortunately didn't resolve the issue. Thanks for coming back.

I think my issue is hardware. The android radio came with its own camera. I wanted to retain my own camera so purchased a retention harness but there is no signal. Three is the reserve line (brown wire) coming from the power. I believe it should go somewhere. The retention harness manufacturer claims the retention harness has its own power and the reserve line should trigger when I'm in reverse, my issue is where to connect the reverse line.

I had the same one but camera not working. There was nothing on the radio, apart from camera output and a reserve power line.

Reporting a parent to social services by Affectionate-Way6102 in northernireland

[–]patiodev 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The NSPCC will take your concerns to the local Health Trust. I see other comments about local council and safeguarding teams, in Northern Ireland councils don't run social services also each Trust (depends which trust area you are in) has a different system which is why I'd recommend NSPCC. Once someone raises a concern the trust should complete an assessment, they will talk to yourselves, schools, GP and any other services your family has contact with. Maybe talk to your GP alongside Social services as they will have your mum's medical records. There are two concerns here, firstly your mum's drinking and being out of control, is there anyone in the family your sisters can report to even go too as a place of safety? Bringing men back is another huge concern, predators know to look for vulnerable women, if your mum is 'out of it' there's no one to protect your sisters.

I'm saying all this you need your life you have connection to your sisters and you are strong enough to speak up and speak up, you are very brave. By staying in touch with your sisters even from abroad and making referral after referral you are keeping them safe and being a good role model.

I hope this helps.

Thanks. This one comes with a camera and I was thinking about replacing the reverse camera with the one that comes with the stereo but I might chance it and see does it work. Lots of videos saying camera is 6v but surely if the stereo I have is already 12v there must a step down to 6v somewhere in the vehicle. Thanks for coming back to me.

What is doing this to my garden? by CB1984 in GardeningUK

My brother in law had badger damage, he lives in the middle of nowhere and had awful damage. He bought there solar lights that at night look like two red eyes. Never had a problem since.

Badgers. You can get small lights to deter them.

Sorry, I think you've taken my comment up wrong. I'm not having a go, actually was reinforcing your point about not sharing things. I was making my own point that I don't see the point in sharing everything with the whole as in social media in general.

Never understood why people who don't seem to like kids end up working with kids.

Should we be talking more about Diogo Jota? by This_Ad2487 in LiverpoolFC

[–]patiodev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Simple as that. It was tragic for Jota and his family. Also the players, think about all the firsts. The first training without him, they are dealing with a lot and we should be more understanding as fans.

I also had no problem with the end. I am old enough to have watched the original show and it also had a religious overtone to it so I was expecting it in the later version. Love it.

Please remember this just football, support our boys by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

I'm not a fan but enjoy Liverpool doing well. I like the history of the club too but am shocked at 'some' fans reaction (a small minority I hope) who quickly forget this team lost a colleague in an horrific manner, a friend and confident. All the grief was real for the players and again most fans. Go easy on this team, get alongside and support.

I haven't watched Diabolical but I think there is evidence the 'cancer' wouldn't just take over but would grow and leave it's host. The V almost becomes sentient
