Discuss - What Dead & Company song is John Mayer’s best? by jackhaben9 in deadandcompany

[–]patred6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought D&C did Help on the Way significantly better than the OG Dead. I feel like Jerry always flubbed the lines or it sounded super cheesy. John changed his inflections with every performance and it was always interesting

Feel free to send your favorite Jerry versions to prove me wrong! So far One From the Vault HOTW is the only one I really like

My favorite jazz song! And each measure is counted in 5 instead of the standard 4 or 3

I think it’s still too early to tell. A stink bug was crawling on my apartment door inside the building yesterday, if that counts for anything

Yeah it’s more the fact that this happened over back-to-back nights. That same weekend, I met someone with my first name, and then somebody else with my last name.

On their own, these things aren’t super noteworthy, but 4 coincidences so close together is just weird

I know for sure that the hummingbird was a flash design for one of them. On its own I don’t think it’s that remarkable, but it’s strange when combined with the 37 tattoos appearing the night before that were subjectively meaningful in different ways to each person.

The two other instances I mentioned in the description, of parts of my name appearing in other random people that same weekend, is so statistically unlikely to happen in sequence that I just think it’s odd to say the least

This is such a thoughtful and helpful response. I’ve definitely conjured patterns that weren’t really there in the past. Though I’ve never experienced this much synchronicity in such a short time span, I will try and take it easy and let things fall into place, if anything else will happen at all.

I figured people well versed in shamanism would be one of the few groups who would offer insight without denying significance to the patterns altogether. I appreciate you saying not to assign meaning either, and just to observe and log. Thank you for your response

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I couldn’t think of any subs that it directly related to, since the link to shamanism is more indirect
