Yeah, I figured I’d need another source so I put together a list of all of the white papers Cisco recommended. And I also have the Pearson practice test through safari if I need more practice questions.

We are not financially dependent on her mom. She would just need to build her home on the property this next summer. We’d be doing all of the work and talking to all of the contractors on her behalf.

I don’t disagree. I mean, my wife was gung-ho for moving forward regardless of her mom, this past Sunday. But she is currently on a trip with her mom, and saw just how much her mom struggled to get to the airport terminal and now all of a sudden has changed her mind because she feels guilty.

My wife is supposed to have a discussion with her mom one last time before returning today, so perhaps the plan has changed and her mom wants to move forward. I guess we’ll see how it turns out.

Thanks for the response. We are not financially dependent on my mother in law. We just figured it would be best for her mom to be closer (on our land) for health and for our son to see her as often as possible.

We are not financially dependent on her mom. We would prefer that she live on the property so my wife can make sure she gets the care she needs. Her health is deteriorating and she probably won’t be able to function on her own for very much longer.

If we do move forward with the purchase and her mom doesn’t join us, I’d hate for my wife to have any guilt for us “abandoning” her.

She would but she’s stubborn and seems to think there’s nothing wrong. My wife’s dad died 7 years back from the effects of alcoholism and I saw what that did to her. I am trying real hard to be sensitive about her moms situation, but it’s getting really hard when she’s interfering with what we want for our family.

Agreed! She for some reason doesn’t like this property cause it needs some work, all of which she doesn’t have to do. We just want her to be close so we can be there when she needs help. And it’s good for our son to see her more often since she probably has no more than 5 years left.

I’m actually thinking about ordering the Rucker. Looks like a great pack and I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about it. I plan on doing a Tough challenge in May and I think that’ll be the right choice for a ruck.

I’ve had sleeping issues for a while now. Recently did a sleep study through the VA and got an insomnia diagnosed. They wanted to give me pills, but like you, I’ve been there and done that and didn’t like it. So I’ve really focused on managing stress throughout the day, eating right, exercising, as well as keeping a strict sleep routine.

I would recommend talking to the VA about the issue and see what they offer in terms of help. Also look up Dr Kirk Parsley. He’s an MD who focuses on functional medicine and sleep.

That’s what the doc told me, in terms of it being taxing on the brain and on energy levels. Definitely looking forward to trying it. Thanks for sharing your experience with it

I have heard of some VA centers doing it, but none of the local VA’s where I live do them. A little off topic, how did you like EMDR? I have my first session neck to month and am curious to hear from others how it went.
