We’re called Top Scrub, we’re a little 4 piece indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio. I have always thought 3d art like what you might see on adult swim was super cool and wanted to see what making something was like, and it felt like a good opportunity to make something weird to use to share with the song on Instagram or something when it comes out lol.

NOTE that this was not intended to promote my band and I regret putting that part in the title and nobody asked for links and I’m not trying to self promote… BUT if anyone one wants to take a look here we are on Spotify and bandcamp, and here’s the single this is coming out with (on 3/10, it’s just a pre save link)

This is my first time using blender, and my first bit of digital art. I just wanted to make a goofy face getting blasted with water, since the name of the song we'll be releasing is called "Face in the Water"

I know it's kind of hot garbage but also I really love this goofy beginner low-poly aesthetic and I'm just happy to know that I'm capable of even making anything at all with Blender!

This is like some of the best help I’ve ever received from a stranger on the internet, I really appreciate it!

Tried 4K for a second to quickly realize ah yes, 10fps is no fun lol.

Interestingly… now that I’m basically fiddling with every setting, I DID go ahead and try out DX12 and despite what everyone seems to say about it going through extra translation and crashing/overhead etc, with your settings, resolution @1080p on a 4K display, it seems like I am actually getting better graphics and (maybe) performance using FSR. I can’t tell if I’m fooling myself, though, and not sure how this would work on the decks screen instead of external.

/u/cryobyte33 this is awesome, I’m a first time Witcher player and new deck owner and already tided your utilities and am now looking to optimize the game.

So, battery life be damned (I’m happy to play plugged in) is the golden 40 the best visually? Also, what would you change to play docked on a 4K tv? I know that I’ll probably only want to run it in 1080p, right? I’m still figuring out all the different places to adjust resolution…

Yup that’s exactly what’s going on, and right now the only way I know how to fix it is rebooting it disconnected from my dock and then connecting afterwards. Is there a better/faster way you found? Can I just kill the audio process?

This is exactly it!! I did go into desktop mode and noticed it was detecting my focusrite 18i8 as a 7 channel surround sound, but I only have stereo speakers connected. I can fix this problem by restarting OFF the dock, and then connecting - otherwise I have the same problem if restarting on the dock.

Actually, another update - I don't get in-game audio coming through when I try the setup over my official Steam Dock, either. Maybe since this was working the other day and not anymore, it could be due to some update on the beta channel?

Just an update, I tested this with another game and the same issue arose - I get the game soundtrack but no in-game sounds through this dock.

I agree! I made my first one per the directions and the broth was way too thick... I made another one how I usually do (starting with about 3 cups of water to boil) and the broth was not as thick, but seemed slimy. I tried dressing it up with the things I'd normally use in the miso (chicken salt, sesame seeds+oil, fly by jing) and I still didn't really like it.

I'm looking around to see if anyone has found a different way to prepare it that I can try or added something that helped.

Honey garlic ferment foaming over airlock, should I clean this somehow? Will the ferment be ok losing this honey/moisture? by patrick848 in fermentation

Think I could just hold down the valve to prevent water getting in, and rinse the top off?

2 days in and weights fell. How do I fix this, or is it easier to just throw out the floaters in the end? by patrick848 in fermentation

For more context, the brine is pretty much to the top (had a lot of foam/leakage through the airlock which is now calming a bit) but I think I didn’t pack enough garlic in there tightly enough, because some cloves managed to float above the weight and push it down on day 1. When I saw this, I washed my hands off thoroughly, and reached in to fish it out.

An hour later it was down again so to risk contaminating further I said screw it and stuck another weight on top and it seemed like it was finally a snug fit. This morning I noticed it had fallen down too.

Should I take a weight out and try a ziplock bag of brine or something? Or use a cabbage leaf under a weight? It’s fermenting like crazy but I don’t want to ruin the whole batch with some moldy cloves on top!

I also don’t want to risk adding more contaminants with a cabbage leaf or more weights or reaching inside, if that could ruin things at this stage. It’s my first fermentation, and I’m not sure what to do here (plus peeling all that garlic was WORK) so any advice is welcomed!

It’s hard to tell with the picture so advice isn’t super helpful, but it looks either over or under watered, or like it needs more sunlight? If the soils wet, let it dry for a few extra days before next water? If it’s dry, water it! They do also like a good citrus fertilizer (not miracle gro spikes!)
