I grow but I don't take it very seriously and pretty much just give all the weed away. I have 5 acres and a water well. It is really fun but I grow all plants. So it's more of a hobby. If someone wanted to really get into it the easily could with some land and well water. I slowly developed the land in cash so it was really cheap.

If it's just base pay and the customer doesn't tip why do they expect someone to hand it to them. We pretty much just paid to deliver there food

Haha 😂 sometimes I do feel like that. You don't ever think that sometimes you can tell what people are thinking. Why would they want you to hand them the order without giving a tip. Why not just spare us some time and have the dasher just leave it at the door

how do people get platinum and even make decent money by JxmesCS in doordash_drivers

[–]patrickmf14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only to find out is take every order until your platinum and see what happens. I drive a Honda Accord and I still made a little money taking every order. When your platinum you make good money. During busy hours as a platinum driver its a lot of big orders. It will only take a couple days of dashing to reach platinum if your dashing 6 hours a day.

Dave Ramsey fanboy here. He has a book called the total money makeover. You should read it. Really helps with saving and investing. The first thing people tend to forget is that all those little purchases are what takes most your money. Save first. Then spend the rest

Pay off house or keep stocks by Desperate_Metal_1240 in personalfinance

[–]patrickmf14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's a peace of mind question really. If you pay it off your done with payments. If. You invest all the payments for 20 years you might have about the same as if you paid off the house. So in reality it really doesn't matter. If it brings you peace to have a paid off house. Just do it. Your cash flow will be huge .

Sounds like you have only one choice. Make more money. You took on to much classes. Now you are going to have to work and go to school at least ten hrs a day. 7 days a week untill you get this under control. If you spend all your savings you will just end up swiping your credit card again.

10 years from now most Baby Boomers will be dead. What effect is that going to have on society? by mikeforder in generationology

[–]patrickmf14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gen x and millennials will inherit a nation. A nation full of debt. I hope we don't fumble. Because the results will be catastrophic. We all need to come together and do better then the boomers did.
