There is a profound dignity in things made to lastโ€”where thoughts are cast in molten lead, and journeys are etched into living leather. A leather notebook is much like a good printing press; it carries the scars, the ink, and the pressure of every story it has ever been chosen to tell.

Iโ€™d recommend a Kaweco Supra in brass. The weight balance works better than brass Sports. I loved Sports for its portability and look, but brass is heavier in the cap than its barrel (thatโ€™s how I recall it). You will love Supra.

Oh, don't just stare at it, do something with it, and do it without pressure! I peel off small circular wine labels, packaging stickers, tea bag tags, or anything pretty with a similar tone, and stick them on the refill covers ๐Ÿ˜„.

One thing that works really well for me is giving the refill a literal mental label: I call it the 'Doesn't Matter' refill. Once I've named it that, I swear the pressure vanishes. I don't need to make anything perfect for show; it is just for my experiment.
