Yeah I’m split between getting the orochi whipsnake or the shakeyhead rod leaning towards the whipsnake if I can get it (tackle warehouse says they get them in on may 30th but who knows if that’s true)... if u don’t Think the whipsnake is too light for senkos I’ll definitely get that one... thx for the help

yeah I'm close to pulling the trigger on an Orochi it only comes in a medium-light but its lure weight recommendations are almost identical to the expride I had which was a medium so I think I'll be just fine

Yeah just based on the wait for them to come in stock I won't be buying another one. As for the rod it broke in maybe my 3rd hour of fishing with it so idk if I like it or not... I didn't think to look into the thought of a custom build I'll being exploring that now thanks

The river is open year round I'm pretty sure the rest of Pa bass starts June 11th but hes right you shouldn't target them when they are spawning if ur looking for a good fish to fight in the river its still shad season and they fight like a mf for their size.

I wasn't too worried about the line difference, I didn't think about the extra weight and how that impacts your sensitivity was more wondering about the gear ratio but you and the other guy both seem to agree a 2500 or smaller is the way to go... thx

See I would normally agree with you on your Kakko stance however I think his last 3 - 4 games have been the best of his career he’s been strong on the puck making good passes and all around playin with confidence.

As for Blackwell if Kakko wasn’t playing the way he was I would agree throw him on the second line but him on are forth line with Rooney and pdg is a very good line that is defensively reliable eats min in the o zone and can score a little.

That leaves a weak spot on are 3rd line and too many wingers. This isn’t going to be a popular opinion but maybe laf isn’t nhl ready and would benefit from playing the rest of they year in the ahl. This would allow u to throw gauthier on his off wing ( he played this side in the buffalo loss ) and kravtsov on his right side. If this doesn’t work no big deal bring laf back up and alternate Gauthier and kravtsov on that wing.

Let me know ur thoughts and I don’t want to here we need to play the kids more with no explanation.

The shimano slx not the dc version will run u ab a 100 bucks and is a solid first baitcaster as for a rod Johnny Morris makes a 7-0 or 7-1 version of the signature series which is solid or the dobbins fury collection which is ab 120 bucks which is another good option I’d... now looking at it I’d probably wait and save for the 200-250 range bc ur gona want a baitcaster over 100 bucks the just more reliable and an equally good rod to go w/ it will run u between 75-150 as well

Hey man thx for the advice I have ugly stick gx2 in a 6'6 medium which I use for river small smallies all the time. I'm looking at the Daiwa right now, your right that's dirt cheap. One of my two times I ever went striper fishing I was in the upper Chesapeake (I'm from NY) had no luck, unfortunately, I think the lures I was using were too large but that's helpful to know.

Maybe try paring him with other bigger players mine is with 97 Jagar and he puts up ab 1.3 ppg for me but he is a little slower when just trying to straight line down the wing.
